Thank you for being forthcoming about what you hope to achieve. I believe we have a communication issue here with two separate pages, and it is likely that this situation will change faster than an AfD discussion can be closed.
I'm not opposed to two separate pages but, I agree, there is a difficult situation here. I created my page five minutes before yours and, going off of the titles, it seems as though "2023 Memphis protests" covers exclusively protests in Memphis. I believe we should take this to another talk page to get more attention from other editors
Comment ― It seems clear that we need to cover all protests (national and international) related to the killing of Tyre Nichols. Whether there is enough media attention and popular resistance to consider having two separate articles remains to be seen, in my opinion. Wait - it could wound up like the George Floyd protests, where there was a broader article (
George Floyd Protests) and a specific sub article dedicated to the George Floyd protests in Minneapolis–Saint Paul. Whether or not this will apply to this situation however remains to be seen. Merge for now - there may need be reason for future expansion of the Memphis article if the protests as a whole expand, but for now, lets just integrate it into the Tyre Nichos Protests article. If the topic are the same thing then maybe merge this into the Memphis protest. Cwater1 (talk) 05:46, 28 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Merge. Clearly relating to the same incident. Others can decide on the preferred title. WWGB (talk) 06:07, 28 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Merge - Two aticles talking about the same thing should be merged. The ⬡ BestagonT/C 06:29, 28 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Merge

Merge—There is no clear difference between the protests described in each article. Compusolus (talk) 08:33, 28 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Merge I agree. Unless something happens in Memphis that is significantly different than what's happening in other cities, users just need one page about the Tyre Nichols protests. 173.187.146.67 (talk) 13:55, 28 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Merge into Tyre Nichols protests. "2023 Memphis protests" title is vague while Tyre Nichols protests is self-explanatory (and not scoped to one location). --Deansfa (talk) 18:00, 28 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
2023 Memphis protests into Tyre Nichols protests. Better to have a broader, less specific (regional) title so that it can encompass all protests. Having Tyre Nichols in the name is also important, as it will be useful for search, and defines what the article is about more clearly, and more obviously at first glance. Cheers. 98.155.8.5 (talk) 19:56, 28 January 2023 (UTC)[reply

Merge into Tyre Nichols protests. There exists huge overlap with the two pages, and since the protests are national, Memphis is (at the moment) non-notable except as the epicenter. I think the titling of George Floyd protests should serve as a precedent for the titling of Tyre Nichols protests as it also was a national occurrence. Captain Infinity (talk) 21:12, 28 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This is clearly a snow merge; would someone like to make a start on the merge? WWGB (talk) 06:06, 29 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Comment ― Also just to point out: there are articles in the Vietnamese and French languages for the Tyre Nichols protests page. So it seems appropriate to keep this title, as it is becoming the main article. Cheers! 98.155.8.5 (talk) 22:32, 29 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Colorado Springs
There was a Tyre Nichols protest in Colorado Springs on February 4, but I'm not sure "Fight Back News" would pass muster as
