. Just to be on the safe side in case anyone wonders or objects, these are the reasons:

Although men may be variously called "kings" or "chiefs" (at the expense of the ambiguous and now-depricated word "rulers" for Maya categories), there has never been a question over "queens". In the cases of

  • In accordance, I've renamed the main article (until recently named
    WP:ALTNAME
    .
  • This article itself never actually uses the word "ruler" to refer to a woman, apart from the title "Women rulers in Maya society", and the category "Women rulers". The only time "ruler" is mentioned in the text is to refer to a man. Otherwise, it mentions "queen(s)" three times in the main body, twice in the references, once in the Template:Maya and once in the Category:Maya queens.

That seems pretty clear, but as said, I'm mentioning this just in case. I don't think it warrants an
