Blanking/Redirecting
@ImTheIP: The page was blanked twice 1, 2 without a proper discussion. There are numerous pages that link here. While there is a discussion about this province in the proposed redirect target and agreed there is some overlap in content, still it seems this is a standalone concept, also linked by the redirect target page infobox as a successor entity. I do not believe there is a consensus for such a change, i.e. blanking/redirecting. Infinity Knight (talk) 12:27, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The number of links is because this article part of a template that needs to be updated. It's policy to redirect articles with no exclusive content to their parent article. There's no point having articles that just duplicates stuff. The infobox is misrepresenting facts; Yehud was exactly the same political entity as Yehud Medinata. I don't know what you mean by "distinct" and it doesn't matter. All the content in this article exist in that article. Thus, this page should be a redirect. Frankly, I don't understand your argument at all. Can you explain why it is important to keep this page not a redirect? It feels like you are arguing just for argument's sake. ImTheIP (talk) 14:02, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Respectfully disagree on this page should be a redirect. In any case the redirect should be discussed in comprehensive manner considering other articles, to make linking consistent and logical. I would not object this change if wide consensus is reached. Infinity Knight (talk) 14:08, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
So you will object on principle unless I rally other editors to create a "wide consensus" for what is a freaking simple cleanup edit? No, I'm not going to waste time doing that. You can have this pointless page - I'm not going to edit it anymore. ImTheIP (talk) 14:21, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Is this the Babylonian name?
If this is about a Babylonian province, it’s odd that it never mentions what it was called by the Babylonians. ⚜ Moilleadóir✍ 04:15, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
