Hello. I believe this page complies with the requirements for Wikipedia. This individual played an important role in the qigong milieu in the PRC before the suppression of the entire movement in 1999. I have several sources attesting to this, including David Palmer and David Ownby. Another editor has expressed interest in looking at the Chinese sources available. I believe information on figures like Zhang Baosheng is important for this encyclopedia, given that he was one of the actors in an important part of contemporary Chinese history. --TheSoundAndTheFury (talk) 01:23, 8 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not an admin, but I went ahead and removed the A7 tag. The article makes a credible assertion of notability, is referenced, and I found some additional references to him through some quick google searches. ThemFromSpace 08:06, 8 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Concur with TFS's assessment. The db tag was placed prematurely, IMO, ie immediately after the very first edit! I think we need to give editors the chance to work a little longer on articles before suggesting deletion per the CSD "A" critera... --
