Paradise Circus, Birmingham

A bridge to Paradise

  • ... that
    Paradise
(pictured) is due to be demolished?

Created by Bs0u10e01 (talk). Nominated by Pigsonthewing (talk) at 21:13, 9 December 2014 (UTC).

  • Comment: Review pending. 7&6=thirteen () 16:34, 15 December 2014 (UTC)
  • Comment: If the image is used, (pictured) needs to be added to the hook, but I think it may be better quirky without. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:48, 15 December 2014 (UTC)
  • Comment: Great hook. Article is way short on in line references. Also has only one real reference, so it is thin in that regard. QPQ Not a self nomination, so none needed. Long enough. 7&6=thirteen () 16:56, 15 December 2014 (UTC)
  • Comment: There are still three paragraphs that are uncited. That needs to be fixed before I can do a full review. Hypothetically, if I approved the DYK, it would just bounce. 7&6=thirteen () 12:11, 17 December 2014 (UTC)
    • Comment: One option is to comment out these paragraphs until after DYK. The article is long enough without them. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:02, 17 December 2014 (UTC)
    • Perhaps User:Bs0u10e01 can assist? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 15:18, 17 December 2014 (UTC)
    • Another preliminary Comment: Earwig's copy violation tool indicates some too close paraphrasing from the first two websites. We need to paraphrase and thesaurize more aggressively. I want a clean bill of health. It now indicates that we are clean. No suspected copyright violations. I cleaned them up myself. 7&6=thirteen () 00:55, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
  • Review - Good to Go! Meets all DYK requirements. New article, long enough, timely nominated, QPQ N/A. Not a self nomination. However, I think that User: Pigsonthewing made a substantial contribution and should be listed as a cocreator. I have taken the liberty of adding him to DYKmake. To that end, I am donating a spare QPQ: Template:Did you know nominations/The Manchester Rambler. The article meets core policies and guidelines. Every paragraph is now cited.
Hook referenceS verified and cited.
No copyright violations or too close paraphrasing. Earwig's copy violation detector says we are now clean.
The hook is very hooky. One of the best hooks we've had in a while. It relates directly to the essence of the article. It is interesting, decently neutral, and cited. Nicely done! A meticulous article on an important civil subject. I am not taking a position on the use of the picture, other than to say it is a free image, is used in the article and could be used. 7&6=thirteen () 01:12, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
There are some editors out there (who shall remain nameless) who think they might want a sexier hook. I leave it to them to chime in. 7&6=thirteen () 03:04, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
  • ALT1 ... that
    Paradise
will be demolished to make way for a "vibrant mixed use development"?
