Phoenicolacerta troodica
Phoenicolacerta troodica, commonly known as the troodos lizard or troodos wall lizard, is a species of lizard in the family Lacertidae. It is endemic to Cyprus, where it is common and widespread. Its natural habitats are Mediterranean-type shrubland and rocky areas, in both rural and urban areas. Its length is up to 22cm, with males slightly larger than females. It has a long tail, which can grow to more than twice its body length. This P. troodica individual was photographed under the Elia Bridge in Limassol District, Cyprus.Photograph credit: Charles J.
