What years did each series run from and to?

Bathurst 1000

I'd like to know why this template is placed on articles about Bathurst 1000 races (prior to 2007), as the links in this template do not go directly to any other Bathurst 1000 article. I feel that there should be a new subheading in this template called Bathurst 500/1000 with links to the appropiate articles. - Kytabu (talk) 00:38, 4 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Withdrawing it from the Bathurst 1000 race articles is justifiable, and certainly should be done pre-1973 when the regulations differed. However I'm personally against adding Bathurst to the template is the template will quickly get oversized and cluttered. Certainly don't think anything beyond main game touring car and V8 Supercar summaries should be listed. Because where then does Super Touring go, AMSCAR, Sun-7 series, Toby Lee series, etc --Falcadore (talk) 10:24, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Development Series

Should a section be added to this template that includes the years of the Development Series?? - Kytabu (talk) 06:29, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No. The pages from 1999 onwards are titled V8 Supercar season, so they should be incorporated more into that. By way of example, have a look at 1995 Australian Touring Car season. The issue has been broached previously here and here but did not gain any further comment. Perhaps it would be best to review those discussions as it covers this issue. --Falcadore (talk) 10:13, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
