This page should not refer to "politics of the Palestinian National Authority", since it is the template for several movements who are not part of, do not recognize, or are even actively hostile to the Authority (such as

Current Prime Minister
I listed both Salam Fayyad and Ismail Haniyeh as Prime Ministers, since Hamas claims that Haniyeh's dismissal and Fayyad's appointment were illegal, and therefore Haniyeh is still PM (see e.g. [1]). I don't think Wikipedia should take sides in this controversy. -- uriber 18:07, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
- I agree with this. In line with NPOV Wikipedia should ackowledge that the post is disputed.--Peter cohen 22:01, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
- I think it would be better to take out both names and where the name of the PM would be, put "Disputed" with a link to whichever article best describes the current situation. At present, there really is no PM as that term is commonly understood, so why bother giving names -- just say it is disputed and point to an article with the names. 6SJ7 22:21, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
- I'll be happy with that option too. What I'm not happy with is the inconsitency where the Politics of the Palestinian National Authority lists one PM and here lists two, or indeed none. --Peter cohen 23:24, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

Abdel Aziz Duwaik
Abdel Aziz Duwaik (assumed office on Jan. 9, 2009)?
Although legally he is to assume office in case the President does not call for elections within one year of the constitutional term, Duwaik never assumed office and was never recommended by the Legislative Counsel as the constitution states. In other words the presidency of Duwaik is merely a political opinion, with nothing related to any constitutional documents. He is infact the acting-president of the Palestinian Legislative Council, as he was never officially reinstated for a second term by the Legislative Counsel. I recommend that such details be edited, to avoid the politicization of the article entries and ensure Wikipedia qualities. --213.244.123.130 (talk) 05:57, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
This issue should be seriously considered as it carries a seriously debated issue. --Zakouma (talk) 06:04, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
Move proposal
I propose to move this template to
]- Oppose To quote User:Apteva "[T]emplates do not need to be as precisely named as articles - no one ever sees the name of the template [...], and shorter names are easier to use.", plus User:Japinderum's point at Template talk:Cities in Palestinian National Authority areas. Emmette Hernandez Coleman (talk) 14:22, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
- other users' quote is not an evidence to anything. Stick to WP:RS.Greyshark09 (talk) 19:35, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
- Japinderum's argument stands and falls on it's own merits, regardless of weather he's comes here and makes it himself, or if I link to his argument, and he did cite RS in his argument. Emmette Hernandez Coleman (talk) 03:07, 14 January 2013 (UTC)

I changed the title from
