Tony Buzan's 1994 genius tabulation of the fourteen greatest geniuses of all time (by GS)
Geniuses are pivotal figures in your consciousness. People like Leonardo da Vinci and Isaac Newton come to represent and define genius in your mind. It is the real geniuses who invent things and expand our understanding, knowledge and abundance, who really shape the world we live in. Not content to live a mediocre life, these geniuses plunge into their chosen work and their brilliance, creativity and innovation leaves an indelible mark on the world.
Tony Buzan's 2005 genius tabulation of the fourteen greatest geniuses of all time (by IQ)
In
IQs, a Buzan IQ is an IQ assigned by Englishmen accelerated learning expert Tony Buzan and grand chess master and literature scholar Raymond Keene
, as found in their 2005 Book of Mental World Records, in which they attempt to rank the hundred greatest geniuses of all-time using an eight category, 835-point, scoring methodology, assigning IQs to each genius along the way.

The new racism. 1985 – 20..

Our society needs to stigmatize the widespread misandry in education, news media, and entertainment as a pernicious form of sex-hatred. In academia, male-bashing is the acceptable form of sexism, yet college activists never target it as one of the "hate crimes" to be eradicated from campuses. Often this misandry appears in stereotypes of fathers as dangerous and unreliable.

Violence against men, and/or their property (trucks, cars, clothes) is now heroic, laudable and liberating. More dangerous to

men
in terms of these portraits of them (or us) as stupid, inadequate, useless and as deserving of vigilante violence, redefined as justice – more dangerous because of the self-concepts they might develop of themselves, which is the teaching function of the media – are the portraits of men as not only doing evil, but as being evil.

Western culture

History of the Roman Empire [Video]

If the origins of our intellectual heritage go back to the

Roman alphabet; and the division of the year into twelve months of unequal length is a modified form of the calendar introduced by Julius Caesar in 45 BC. Even after the fall of the Western Roman Empire the city of Rome stood for centuries as the symbol of civilization; later empires deliberately shaped themselves on the Roman model. The enormous impact of Rome on our culture is partly the result of the industrious and determined character of the Romans, who early in their history saw themselves as the divinely appointed rulers of the world. The Roman Empire
founded in 753 BC did not permanently disappear until the Turks captured Constantinople in 1453.

Wikipedia is not an Academic Source

I have a required number of sources, so students apparently sometimes "pad" their numbers. But I think there is something else going on here. Students have the entire Internet at their disposal, after all, so certainly they can find more appropriate sources. But that may just be the problem: what's an appropriate source ? Students today are exposed to an unprecedented glut of information, and have no way to evaluate it. It becomes our job to teach them how, and this is teaching the research process itself.

Collaborative websites with permissive edits have little probative value. Anyone can alter the content of Wikipedia at any time, casting doubt on the validity of the information contained therein. A Wikipedia article cannot be seen as reliable information in proceedings, as it can be manipulated before the proceedings, to serve the interests of a party, nation, religion etc. However, Wikipedia "the biggest and most popular encyclopedia ever" was the same a beautiful experience.
