My name is Diana and I am an Anthropologist, specialized in religious studies. I have a personal interest in ethics, sociology, theology, world culture, among many other random and not-so-random things. My main field of expertise is religion and its research, most especially its historical side in terms of ancient civilization and social development as well as the cultural impact and psychological relevance of modern day cults.

Verifiability
is one of the central frameworks of Wikipedia, and one that many editors sometimes take far too lightly. Wikipedia - The Free Encyclopedia - is an online resource for encyclopedic knowledge. It does not work as a forum to promote ideas, nor it represents a place to educate people about neglected or unsubstantiated fields of expertise. Any form of idea, thought, theory or thesis should not be included in an encyclopedia until its same contents have been expressed, developed, reviewed and published by reliable sources from the scholar field.

These are the checks that may validate a reliable source:

  1. Peer-reviewed journals and books published by university presses;
  2. University-level textbooks;
  3. Mainstream newspapers;
  4. Magazines, journals, and books released by publishing houses well established in the scholar field.

This editor is vigorously against any form of promotion in Wikipedia's contents. Many artists, authors and other entities, without the relevant

policies for an unbiased judgment of which content does deserve to be published.
