About Me
I am a Postmodernist. Incredulity Towards Metanarratives
This user has been on Wikipedia for 7 years, 2 months and 2 days.
I actively edit articles on English Wikipedia, which is how I started my involvement in our global community to crowdsource open, free, and credible knowledge. I strive to cite
Wikimedia Projects are completely clear, I personally find that working with others in good faith
often produces the best results overall, both on and off wiki.
Beyond editing, I (Jeffrey) am involved in a number of Wikipedia + Wikimedia projects across the Movement:
When working on an article about a person [[WP:BLP]], all information should be presented using a Neutral Point of View [[WP:NPOV]], include information that is Verifiable [[WP:V]], and not contain any Original Research [[WP:NOR]]. Please remember to cite Reliable [[WP:RELIABLE]] sources to demonstrate Notability [[WP:N]] in general and specific Notability in People [[WP:BIO]]. If related to a person in politics, ensure this fulfills the requirements in [[WP:NSUBPOL]].
WP:VERIFY
Please remember to cite reliable sources as evidence to support your claims per [[WP:VERIFY]]
WP:USI
Removed unsourced content per [[WP:USI]]. Try to find a reliable, secondary source to support any claims per [[WP:PSTS]]
WP:RELIABLE
The source used here does not fulfill the Wikipedia policy of using reliable, third party [[WP:INDEPENDENT]] published sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy [[WP:RELIABLE]]
Articles on Wikipedia should follow the policy of presenting content from a Neutral Point of View per [[WP:NEUTRAL]], meaning information should be represented fairly and proportionately, avoiding stating opinions as facts, seriously contested assertions as facts, or through using judgmental language.
WP:SELFPUBLISH
Self-published [[WP:SELFPUBLISH]] or self-referential [[WP:ABOUTSELF]] sources should generally be avoided due to potential conflicts with information verifiability [[WP:VERIFY]]
WP:NOTSOURCE
Avoid using Wikipedia as a source for itself per [[WP:NOTSOURCE]]. Cite external, reliable sources as evidence to support your claims per [[WP:VERIFY]]
Write the article before creating a link to it, as red linking distracts from the readability of the encyclopedia per [[WP:WRITEITFIRST]]
WP:ENC
Wikipedia is an encyclopedia [[WP:ENC]] and not a site for random information or opinions
WP:NOTAFORUM
Wikipedia is not a forum to publish individual thoughts, analyses, personal essays or inventions, or ongoing discussions per [[WP:NOTAFORUM]]
WP:PUFFERY
Articles should maintain a neutral point of view [[WP:NPOV]] and avoid words that may introduce bias [[WP:PUFFERY]]
MOS:LEAD
Avoid adding new information in the article lead if it is not covered in the body of the article per [[MOS:LEAD]]
MOS:VAGUE
Avoid words that may introduce bias or are expressions that lack precision per [[MOS:VAGUE]]
WP:UNDUE
Avoid the views of tiny minorities so as not to give them undue weight per [[WP:UNDUE]]
WP:LINKSPAM
Removed external links that promoted websites or products per [[WP:LINKSPAM]]
WP:LINKSTOAVOID
Avoid links that do not substantially add or clarify an article per [[WP:LINKSTOAVOID]]
WP:TALK
The purpose of an article's talk page is to provide space for editors to discuss changes to its associated article or WikiProject. Article talk pages should not be used by editors as platforms for their personal views on a subject, and all discussion there should be directed solely toward the improvement of the encyclopedia per [[WP:TALK]]

Verbiage
FOR MY STUDENTS who have not finished the assignment
Please finish all parts of this assignment for this week and then ping me here. I will then take a look at it and reply.
FOR MY STUDENTS who did not indent their replies
Please remember to indent your replies with one colon " : " for each level of indent you want, as this helps with readability. Do this as a reply and then ping me here, and then I will take a look at it and reply.
FOR MY STUDENTS who did not space near the " / "
Please edit your post title to include spaces between the week / your user name and the " / " and then reply to me here and I will review.
FOR MY STUDENTS who did not sign their posts
Please remember to sign each of your posts using four tilde characters <nowiki> ~~~~ <nowiki> at the end. Do this as a reply and then ping me here, and then I will take a look at it and reply.
FOR MY STUDENTS who did not assign themselves the article
Please assign yourself this article in the Wiki Edu Dashboard and then ping me here. I will then take a look at it and reply.
FOR MY STUDENTS who did not include their edit diff
Your edit does not fulfill the Wikipedia policy of using reliable, third-party [[WP:INDEPENDENT]] published sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy [[WP:RELIABLE]]. Always use a reliable source, such as to an academic journal article or other high-quality reference as discussed in the assignment and in class. Avoid blogs, corporate websites, reviews, press releases, and opinion pieces as they generally do not count as reliable sources. Please either assign yourself a different article and add a credible source that is needed to it or find and cite a more reliable source to the one you edited. Ping me here when done and I will review.
FOR MY STUDENTS who added a citation but did not explain it
Citations alone generally do not add value. Beyond adding a citation alone, make sure to provide a sentence or two within the article itself to express your contribution in context (which the citation will support). This will demonstrate how your addition adds to the overall knowledge in the article. Please add a sentence or two to the article you edited and then ping me here when done.
