Biography

Yang was born to a Chinese father from Shanghai^[1] and Armenian mother, both physicists. He graduated from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (1992, M.S. in Applied Mathematics and Physic).

In 1989 Yang founded Bit Software company. In 1998 the company was renamed ABBYY. As for 2023 ABBYY USA Software House Inc is an American digital intelligence company headquartered in Milpitas, California.

In 2016 Yang founded Santa Clara, CA based Yva.ai^[2] - a real-time predictive analytics platform which provides insights that improve retention rate and business performance.
