Please stop "simplifying" names of countries in infobox birth and death entries. Which version of Bavaria or Prussia or Germany someone was born of died in is significant information, and should be available for the reader to see without having to link through the pipe. @Векочел: I am quite certain that it is Otto II, also since the article of Theophano mentions him, and not Otto I. However, there is more evidence that the wife of Otto II, Theophanu, a Byzantine princess, also thought to be the sister of Basil II, had more influence on him than her supposed mother, resulting in the Byzantine ideas and such, as said in Theophanu's and Otto II's article. Theophano did not play a big role in Otto II's life, dying about 5 years into his reign, but Theophanu did, which makes sense. Yet I do not exactly know why this note is placed next to that sentence. I think it is obvious that the word 'psalter' was used as a translation of 'menologion', both words meaning a book and not a single illustration. I think taking the problem to the talk page, rather than reverting might have been a rather better and more appropriate move on your part. Urselius (talk) 15:17, 25 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Urselius: Initially, I had the idea to revert it, though later I gained the idea to reword it, mainly to the way it is now. I did realize that a revert was not truly necessary, rather just an adjustment to your change, but this was after the action was taken. You requested to have Messi’s page padlocked, why? Have you seen any of the discussion on the issue of the greatest player? The edit warring that there was has thankfully died down with the articles now evenly representing the two players (not something I entirely agreed with, as for me Messi is head and shoulders a more gifted player), but it works. Any edit on Messi’s page by a user that hadn’t seen the discussion, I would direct them to. That was all that was happening. Not only did a padlock serve no purpose, but now one of the most viewed articles on the site is now completely unprotected allowing real edit warring (and vandalism) to commence. @F8RIL: It was to mainly keep both articles of CR and LM protected during the discussion, since both were suffering the same fate, even from the same people who edit warred at CR's article, after being told about the discussion on CR's talk page. I understand the concerns, but CR is also unprotected now, and I would prefer requesting the restoration of these articles to indefinite semi-protected status, since that was the original purpose, but had to be temporarily fully-protected to stop a dispute. 20DKB03 (talk) 20:35, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
