Feigned edit summary. 1) Latin Azerbaijani is not officially used in Iran 2) Iran's sole official language is Persian, yet you changed the order of listing, putting Azerbaijani ahead. - LouisAragon (talk) 19:02, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Mr. Aragon
At first thanks for liking my Shahi Island edit.
Let me explain my edits:
Urmia:
The city has two Azerbaijani names: Urmiyə (اۇرمیه) and Urmu (اۇرمۇ)
I know that Latin script is not officially used in iran but other languages have Latinization too (Armenian, Syriac, Kurdish)
City's Arabic script Azerbaijani name is written incorrect (Azerbaijani: اورمیه و, Romanized: Urmiyə və, lit. Urmia and)!
Urmiya is from
Republic of Azerbaijan, we
use 'Urmiyə' and 'Urmu'.
Iranian Azrbaijan:
Because the article was about Azerbaijan, I decided to put azerbaijani at first. (I don't know that if it's ok or no)
Persian romanization is incorrect. (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/آذربایجان)
Azerbaijani romanization is incorrect too. (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Azərbaycan)
I know that Latin script is not officially used in iran, but romanization is included, and I just corrected it.
The sole latin script of Azerbaijani that commonly used is 16-05-1992 Repulic of Azerbaijan system.
In south dialects, Azerbaijan is pronounced like [ɑːzærbɑjˈd͡zɑn], instead of [ɑːzæɾbɑjˈd͡ʒɑn]. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azerbaijani_language#Phonology)
Sorry for my grammar. Alireza.bagherzadi (talk) 11:06, 16 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Alireza.bagherzadi.
No one is against the concept of Romanizations. You can Romanize it, however, without resorting to using a Latin script that is solely officially used in the post-Soviet Republic of Azerbaijan. These letters are not used officially in Iran and using them is
WP:TENDENTIOUS. You can Romanize the letters the same way we do it for Persian or any other languages, i.e. using the regular Latin alphabet. Best, - LouisAragon (talk) 22:03, 16 September 2022 (UTC)[reply
