Nickname

In the

Real Madrid article, nicknames shouldn't be written with a definite article, the nickname is Blancos Whites, Merengues Meringues, Vikingos Vikings, not THE/LOS whites/blancos etc. in most articles about football clubs the nickname is not accompanied by a definite article, this is the right way. In fact in the page in Spanish of the article appears without the "los/the".--95.22.131.76 (talk

Rw: Reversion in Real Madrid

You know that what you've just reverted to mantain the previous edition is an untrue version of Real Madrid history, right? Besides, New Football Club is how Sky Football was renamed in 1902. Both are the same club, not different ones. Regards. --Brgesto (talk) 21:54, 8 July 2017 (UTC)

I'll resume to you as best as I can, as the recent discoveries are still confuse. Thenn you can rephrase it with a better and correct english. "Some students from Instituto Libre de Enseñanza, priorly formed in England, founded "(Sociedad) Sky Football" in 1897, commonly know as "La Sociedad" (The Society, as it was the only one based in Madrid) playing on Sunday mornings at Moncloa. In 1900 due to some discrepancies between their members some of them deserted to create a new club referred as "Nueva Sociedad de Football" (New Society of Football, to make the difference with Sky one). Among them were Julián Palacios (coonsidered first Real Madrid president from 1900-02) and Juan y Carlos Padrós (brothers and further presidents). In 1901 this new club was renamed as Madrid Football Club. Later, in 1902, Sky was renamed as "New Football Club" after a restructuring."

Only two different clubs:

1987 - Sky Football, after

New Football Club
1900 - Nueva Sociedad de Football, after Real Madrid

New Football Club
is not the same as Nueva Sociedad (despite they mean the same in english. One was named in english and the other in spanish. Just as I wrote them)

@Anikchak085: I'm assuming you're referring to the dreadfully long and drawn out dispute about the phrasing of a sentence? Like I said on the article's talk page, I feel a fair compromise has been reached, all things considered. Hi, when updating infobox stats you should update the |club-update= or |pcupdate= parameter for club stats, or the |nationalteam-update= or |ntupdate= parameter for international stats, by adding five tildes (~~~~~), which generates the specific time the update was made. I see what you mean, vandalism is not to be taken lightly and the vast majority of these vandals are utter nuisances (others, just kids with a poorly-timed sense of humour), but i have written some stuff that's not cool (per site guidelines, that is). I have removed your note from my talk page. I am unsure why you left it in the first place. If this has to do with the Nicolas Otamendi - honours section then you are mistaken in saying my conduct is detrimental or that I broke wikipedia guidelines. It actually is in line with Wikipedia guidelines as I sourced the honour and it is an official award bestowed by the Premier League. This is much like goal of the month, player of the month, manager of the month, etc that are all widely accepted by the Wikipedia guidelines as an official individual honor to be included on player pages.Rupert1904 (talk) 22:34, 22 January 2019 (UTC)

Why are my edits disruptive and I am the only one being accused of vandalism? In my reversions, I always wrote out why I had included this honour in Otamendi's individual honours section. In fact, it was actually other editors who were using their opinions using phrases like "I don't think" or "probably not" when they reverted my edit. In fact, I feel that they were repeatedly disregarding and ignoring my edits and contribution just because they didn't agree with or don't like me. There were never any questions from others but just ridicule. But as instructed, I started a talk page to discuss the issue in a civilized, adult manner but, as of yet, people have refused to discuss on that forum and just continued to bully me instead. Editors these days are making editing on wikipedia a very challenging task and creating a harmful environment that is not in line with the spirit of which this site was intended. Thank you. The vandalism comment was less targeted at you and more so the circus-like reactions I am getting from other users. I am trying to keep my calm and excitement for editing but in this environment it can be difficult. I understand now that I violated the reversion rule and will not do it again but I did it in the spirit of having my voice heard and doing work by the proper wikipedia guidelines (or so I thought).
