Starting Out

I am just starting out on Wikipedia. I am eager to edit articles, however, finding an article I can make an impact on is hard. I am also unfamiliar with adding different style elements to articles (such as Categories, Assessments, Tags, Stub Notice, etc.) If someone could help me on how to go about this, I'd be really grateful. Thank you.
