Speedy deletion nomination of Molana Alvi Birotvi

Hello Atifsati,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Molana Alvi Birotvi for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

Nomination of Qazi Mohammad Obaidullah Alvi for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Qazi Mohammad Obaidullah Alvi is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Qazi Mohammad Obaidullah Alvi until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Widefox; talk 07:35, 19 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The article Abdurashid hadoti has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

As written, doesn't seem to pass
Wikipedia:Notability (biographies)
for scholars or writers: no coverage in mainstream sources, no significant impact shown.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be

deleted for any of several reasons
.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The best I can immediately do is from wikimapia: [1]. I see no reason to think this or the other articles to be hoxes. There is nothing claimed that seems incredible or self-contradictory. Hoax is too strong a word for the situation. They are just in a tradition that is not accessible to us, for reasons of both language and unavailability of sources. The problem for us is, if we cannot verify some of this, how can we possibly include that articles? I think, Atifsati, you need to realize your audience here--we cannot put in what we cannot document and understand. If you know of published material in any language to which you can refer to in order to document the material, please add it as references. If it's non-English, as is likely, include in a footnote a translation of the title and the key phrases.
I would be delighted to learn about a tradition I do not yet know of, & to include this material, --and I am sure Piotr feels just the same. But we need something published to go on. DGG ( talk ) 09:16, 19 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Problems with your articles

I've reviewed a number of your articles, and I am afraid most of them quality for deletion due to failure to adhere to

see above -- I see no evidence that they are hoaxes--there's a long way between "unverified" and "hoax". But even "unverified" is a reason why we cannot possibly keep them. DGG ( talk ) 09:18, 19 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
This editor has created an autobiography that fails WP:V, and there's a photo which links this editor with the other articles he created - so potentially having a COI . Therefore I think this is a COI issue not hoax. I'm listing them all at the AfD. Widefox; talk 10:06, 19 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
