Image dos and don'ts

Images make Wikipedia more informative, accessible, and professional.

In general, when working with images:
DO:
Review the image style guide and use policy.
alt text
.
Try to find at least one image for each article.
create and upload
your own.
Clean up
images: crop, color-correct, etc.
Use the best file format for each image.
Use objects for scale where helpful.
section to which they are related
DON'T:
Don't upload non-free images.
Don't use images in place of tables or charts.
galleries
excessively.
Don't add images that are not relevant.
Don't flip faces, text, or works of art.
Don't set fixed image sizes.
sandwich
text between two images.
Don't refer to images by their placement.
... can create a distasteful text sandwich (depending on platform and window size).
Wide images opposite one another ...

Multiple images can be staggered right and left. However, avoid sandwiching text between two images that face each other; or between an image and infobox, navigation template, or similar. . A gallery is not a tool to shoehorn images into an article, and a gallery consisting of an indiscriminate collection of images of the article subject should generally either be improved or

moved to Wikimedia Commons..

Sockpuppet investigation

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Shuppiluliuma, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Blocked as a sockpuppet

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts as a sockpuppet of User:Shuppiluliuma per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Shuppiluliuma. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  -- RoySmith (talk) 17:05, 17 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
