Edit summaries

Hi Bebbytheonlyone! Please try to use edit summaries in your edits so that other Wikipedians can better understand the nature of your edits and/or the reasoning behind them. Cheers and good luck! -- Ynhockey (Talk) 12:52, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

St Peter's

Please don't remove material without good reason and without leaving an edit summary.

You removed a clause about the fact that the pope was warned that the death of a previous pope was an "omen". Let me make it clear:

Regardless of whether the omen was true, regardless of whether the pope believed in omens, regardless of whether omens are a superstition, the fact is that people around the pope warned him that the death of his predecessor was an "omen".

The "warning" and the pope's failure to heed the warning are the events that took place, and were highly significant at the time. There was (naturally) a very strong opposition to pulling down Old St Peter's.

Icarus

Hello! I've removed what appears to be your uncited or personal comparison of the

original research, which is not allowed. Please check all this at the editing links given in your welcome message, above. Oh, and if you do find appropriate citation for the deleted material, please consider how best to integrate it within the article. It doesn't belong under the heading "Classical tradition". Thank you. Haploidavey (talk) 09:33, 19 April 2011 (UTC)[reply

Hi, Bobbytheonlyone, let me also welcome you to the Icarus article. I see that Haploidavey has said precisely what I came to say, but you may discuss this if you wish at Talk:Icarus#Jatayu. Cynwolfe (talk) 11:53, 19 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Masturbation, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Please do not add or change content without

reliable sources, as you did to Economy of India. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. SBC-YPR (talk) 15:46, 27 April 2011 (UTC)[reply

Types of silk

I started editing some of the notes you added to the article on silk when I realised that you have just copied the wording of these notes from the website you gave as a reference. This is not allowed under Wikipedia policy except for short quotes which are clearly marked as quotes as this breeches copyright law. I am sure you made these additions in good faith, and they do contain a lot of interesting information but, for copyright reasons, I will remove them now. However, as there is so much good information here, I would be very grateful if you could rewrite the material yourself and then add it again to the article. Many thanks, John Hill (talk) 05:16, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
