Hello. I just read your kingston ontario wiki page. Nicely done. The postal codes are outdated though. They only reflect the old city of kingston and not the amalgamated kingston. I'm north of the 401 on patterson rd. I'm in Kingston but my postal code is k0h1x0. Thanks! !

Thanks for mentioning this. I didn't write this part of the article, and have no idea how to update this info. You can change this yourself if you want; just make sure you have a source/reference. I can mention this needed update on the talk page so others may be able to help.  BC  talk to me 03:45, 11 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

BCATP Locations

Hi Brian,

I have designed this web page that display the locations of Canadian military installations past and present. Some of the info needs correction. I've started with the BCATP and I need to add more data.

Let me know of any wrong data and entries. Pass it along to anyone as much as possible.

Use this link.

Hi Roger, I'll check and I'll pass it along. I won't get a chance to review for a while, but I WILL get to it. In the meantime you may want to check List of British Commonwealth Air Training Plan facilities in Canada. Cheers!-- BC  talk to me 00:05, 25 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Question for you

Hello Brian, I have been very active on Wikipedia for years, as you know, but have never published an article from scratch.

I just wrote one but it remains as a Draft; I don't know how to actually Publish it.

Draft:Fred Jacob (journalist) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Can you provide any advice? Thanks, Peter K Burian (talk) 16:04, 18 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Peter, nice to hear from you. The article is no longer "draft" and has been moved by another editor to article namespace. In other words, it's already published. If you want it formally reviewed, go here:
categories. I added one for you.  BC  talk to me 20:21, 18 December 2017 (UTC)[reply

You added the note to the page "BTW, Hatch (p. 203) mentions nothing about 2 FIS having been at Claresholm" and you are correct. that statement and the one on the initial opening date were in the article prior to my involvement. Should we delete it or mark that it need citation. I am still fairly new to the whole editing thing, but I think this is a good endeavor. Your opinion? College Success Centre

Is it possible to post about the College Success Centre? I see that the Artist in Residence is on here, so this would seem logical. See below article from global news for details on the success centre... Jeff Ridgeway is the OPI at the college at the moment. For your consideration. https://globalnews.ca/news/4014189/royal-military-college-opens-success-centre-for-students/

Seems relevant and notable to me. I would place mention of the CSC in the Libraries section, since the CSC is in the library. The content should probably be
cited.- BC  talk to me 06:07, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply

RCAF Station Claresholm

Hopefully I am putting this in the right spot. I was just checking my watchlist and found a couple changes that you had made on RCAF Station Claresholm. Your change had me rechecking a bunch of research that I conducted several months ago. I had found notes in the Operational Record Book of No. 15 SFTS in Clairsholm that directly contradict Mr Hatch. I have added the reference that states the school was initially opened as a sub-unit of 15 SFTS at Clarsholm in Apr then moving to their new base in Vulcan in September of that year. Just wanted to provide some clarity to avoid a editing war. Mech1949 (talk) 23:20, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. As long as the ref explains this and the new information is cited so that this information isn't contested. This other reference does mention that it was formed at Vulcan: http://heritage.canadiana.ca/view/oocihm.lac_reel_c12325/457?r=0&s=6 though. Was it truly labeled 2 FIS at Claresholm? If it wasn't called 2 FIS at Claresholm can we truly say it was formed there? Cheers!-- BC  talk to me 23:46, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I looked at the Daily Diary reference you provided at the Claresholm article and didn't see any information about 2 FIS being a subunit of 15 SFTS. Perhaps you copied the wrong link?-- BC  talk to me 23:54, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Edit revision on the San Benedetto Po page

Hello, I noticed you cancelled my edit on the page of San Benedetto Po, Italy, and while you are correct in saying that the population data I put was unsourced, I know for sure the population count is not nearly as high as you put (I've lived there). I am new to Wikipedia editing, and I'm still really trying to find out how sources work, so could you please change it back/restore it to what it was before my edit? Thanks in advance Fre 798 (talk) 21:12, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You’re right, it can’t be that high. Looks like someone last year vandalized the page. I’ll change it back. However, your figures must have come from somewhere, and if so, you can easily mention the source. These sources are placed on the page. See
original research, which isn't permitted.— BC  talk to me 21:30, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply
