Election news: In our mid-year Election of Coordinators, Dhtwiki was chosen as lead coordinator, Miniapolis and Zippybonzo continue as assistant coordinators, and Baffle gab1978 stepped down from the role. @RAJIVVASUDEV I've done a first pass on both articles, accounting for basic style and readability stuff (there's not a *ton* to do there, as you're quite an advanced writer!).

As I went along, though, I jotted down some notes on paper (very old-fashioned, I know ☺️) of questions that, if answered, would aid the layperson's understanding, as well as a few notes on overall structure for introducing the ideas in the first article.

As it's late now, I'll have to sleep, then have some work to do in the morning. I'll start a thread on the Talk Page of each article tomorrow night and ping you there, listing my clarifying questions and suggestions for you to review and think about. That way, our brainstorming will be included in the history of the article for others' benefit too.

None of these are things that should hold up these articles, just details that may help further improve their clarity and flow! Great and very interesting stuff, I'm pretty new to economic trade history so that was a lot to wrap my brain around in a nice challenging way! 😅 Take care till we speak in the Talk Page, and feel free to keep in touch for other articles as they arise. If you'd like to help out, you may nominate yourself or any suitable editor—with their permission—for the Election of Coordinators for the first half of 2024. Nominations will close at 23:59 on 15 December (UTC). Voting begins immediately after the close of nominations and closes at 23:59 on 31 December. All editors in good standing (not under current sanctions) are eligible, and self-nominations are welcome. Coordinators normally serve a six-month term that ends at 23:59 on 30 June. Hey Chelsea! You warned me around 5 months about uploading a photo without proper copyright claims and were extremely kind about it. Thanks for answering!! They haven’t answered me yet either. I’m trying to upload a {{non-free book cover}} to the wiki commons but can’t figure out the type of wiki text format it’s under. @Itsirlpidge my pleasure ☺️ I've looked into this a little bit, and as I thought I recalled, non free book covers are okay to use only, and specifically, in an article about that book, and they need to be uploaded directly to the English Wikipedia instead of Wikimedia Commons (this second part I'm not SUPER strong on understanding, forgive me!)

This is the template used to identify a fair use instance of a non free book cover, and all the info around that WP:Template:Non-free_book_cover - oh dear, that attempted link didn't work, hopefully this lame old hyperlink will- [1] I'm hoping this link works! It might be worth checking in at the WP:Teahouse to get confirmation from someone who has done this before, as the instructions are a little intense, lol.

Additionally, if you are currently working on a draft that this relates to, I have seen Teahouse folks advise not to worry about the image until the article is published into mainspace, as the fair use justification for non free content only allows it to be used in article space, not draft space.
