Hitting the blacklist?
Dear Cyberpower. I notice that Cyberbot II is regularly hitting the blacklist. Would it be worth to detect that, and if it happens, to wrap the offending link in <nowiki>-tags and retry (not sure why it happens, the link is there, so you are technically not adding a new link, are you?)? --Dirk Beetstra T C 07:47, 16 December 2013 (UTC)
- You might want to paste the contents here since I am no admin and have no access. :p The blacklist is a good thing because it stops a tag from surfacing if the link has already been removed during the tagging process.—Merry Christmas00:38, 17 December 2013 (UTC)

- I think it is a matter of looking at the result that you get back - did the page properly save or did it give an error? Your bot is not that bad, one other bot was hitting it tens of times a minute for hours in a row .. still it 'clogs' the log a bit. I think you can not avoid to hit it at least once, but you now hit it on every run, and obviously you will miss a correct tag on some pages. --Dirk Beetstra T C 06:22, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
- Normally if it hits it, that means the link in question isn't on the page, meaning the tag shouldn't be there. I'll have to see what's going on, if this is a bug or not.—Merry Christmas14:26, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
- That is what I thought as well .. it looks a bit curious. This is not a big deal (unlike MadmanBot, hitting the spam blacklist continuously for hours, you just have one hit on every run it appears), still, if it can be avoided, or it signifies a problem somewhere (maybe it is even a mediawiki-bug?). Hope to hear more. --Dirk Beetstra T C 06:05, 18 December 2013 (UTC)

CyberbotI AfD going crazy
Hey, somehow 4 AfDs that were closed back between February and 10 days ago were put back into CAT:AFD, and now your bot is edit-warring the templates back in on the one that was closed as keep, and giving me warnings for it (it's also past 3RR, but bot quirks are obviously exempt). Just wanted to let you know. Ansh666 00:21, 18 December 2013 (UTC)
- Hey, C678, I guess this is how you disable the AfD task? Anyway, I disabled it until you can look into it. Writ Keeper ⚇♔ 00:28, 18 December 2013 (UTC)
Hey, that's not fair! Cyberbot gives me warnings for removing AfD templates, but the admins (User:Writ Keeper and User:Ymblanter) don't get one? Discrimination! Ansh666 00:31, 18 December 2013 (UTC)

Problem with rendering Guide to the Constellations book
Hello. I have been trying to get a copy of Book:Guide_to_the_Constellations since this morning but despite repeated (read 10+) attempts by myself in India and separately a friend in Scotland, we are getting the following error and we are not getting the final rendered book. Please help.
I am posting this here since Book_talk:Guide_to_the_Constellations referred to your user ID for bugs. I apologise if this is the wrong place for this and request you to kindly point me to where I should report this.
Season's Greetings.

Cyberbot 1 False Positive
It appears that Cyberbot has made a false positive here. buffbills7701 16:50, 27 December 2013 (UTC)
Another false positive at this article following an AFD closure. Mkdwtalk 03:16, 28 December 2013 (UTC)

Cyberbot and AfD retagging
Had a couple [3][4] in a row because it's readded the tag despite the fact that the debate was closed. (My script closes the debate then removes the tag, in that order.) Thoughts? Daniel (talk) 00:01, 30 December 2013 (UTC)

- Okay... what's been done to remedy this problem? DavidLeighEllis (talk) 00:40, 30 December 2013 (UTC)
- I have just now remedied it by deploying this fix. It was set to run every minute. This was causing it to pull a copy of the AfD when it was open and a few seconds later, it gets closed, the bot then looks at the page, sees no template, and adds it back. It's supposed to run every 15 minutes. For some reason I inadvertantly chopped the 5 off of the run frequency.—ChatOnline 00:50, 30 December 2013 (UTC)

Why is this one blacklisted?
I'm unfamiliar with the history of the Harbour Centre page but there' a blacklist notice at the top of it for "http://www.vancouverlookout.com/ Triggered by \bvancouverlookout\.com\b on the global blacklist". It's for the quasi-Space Needle lookout and reference on top of this tower and I don't understand why it would be blacklisted....unless they were planting their link on lots of other Vancouver pages. It should be on this one....maybe this is another one of those knee-jerk problems with your bot, I don't know; I don't see the problem myself.Skookum1 (talk) 19:25, 1 January 2014 (UTC)

Articles Created Tool
I know there is a known issue with the tool's speed and it gives me the top 100 results eventually, however when i try and get the full list a large percentage of the time it hangs and gives an error. When i do this i am not always wanting to see the full list of articles, but may just want to know how many I've actually created. Would it be possible as a new feature it could give you the total number of articles you've created at the top of the list of 100 without the user having to expand and see the full list of titles. Just a suggestion rather than complaint.Blethering Scot 23:50, 2 January 2014 (UTC)

The bot placed a template on this 83 kB page, saying "Blacklisted links found." [11] Is it possible to provide some indication of just what the links are, perhaps by mentioning the domain name? Otherwise this tag seems unhelpful. —rybec 22:03, 8 January 2014 (UTC)

Cyberbot I @ RFPP
Hey, would it be possible to add a slight delay to Cyberbot I's clerking at RFPP (this is what I'm talking about). Technically, the article was in fact listed on the appropriate log page. The deletion debate was originally located at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/''Judge Pal: International Military Tribunal for the Far East and Indian nationalism''; since the article Judge Pal: International Military Tribunal for the Far East and Indian nationalism already existed, I have moved the debate to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Judge Pal: International Military Tribunal for the Far East and Indian nationalism, corrected the article name in the debate, and redirected ''Judge Pal: International Military Tribunal for the Far East and Indian nationalism'' to Judge Pal: International Military Tribunal for the Far East and Indian nationalism. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 16:49, 21 January 2014 (UTC)

Bot is reflagging AfD for, God help us, "transclusion" failure
User:cyberbot I re-flagged this AfD, despite having been corrected the first time by User:Bearcat, who seems to know his business. What's going on? --Hobbes Goodyear (talk) 02:54, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
- I've already asked about this at the Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)/Archive 122#AFD page; apparently what happened is that I created the page slightly after midnight UTC on December 16 (evening of December 15 my time), but because the cache hadn't flushed over yet the final step (transcluding it into a daylog) took me to the daylog for December 15 — so what's happening is that the bot keeps detecting it as "not transcluded" because it isn't transcluded in the daylog for the same day as its datestamp. That said, even though there's a rational explanation it's still not something that should be happening at all. Is there a potential solution of some kind here? Bearcat (talk) 03:00, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
- Bearcat meant January 16 and 15. User:Cyberbot I/Status has not been updated since January 16 so User:cyberbot I says the bot is down, but it's still running. Could this be related to the AfD issue? PrimeHunter (talk) 13:29, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
