Hey hey hey! Welcome to my talk page!

Dear Ask Cynthia,

I have a very nasty toenail fungus. I believe that I should be proud of the fact I have it. Can you please tell me how to stop my parents from fighting over my feet?

Toenail Lover in Alpha Centauri

Dear Toenail,

Um... Okay. First things first, have you tried socks? That way, you still have it, but your parents won't know. Second of all, please consider using different stamps. I don't want to have to pay the rates for... Uh... whatever it's called when you get mail from another star systems. WAIT. There's no known life beyond Earth, so... Either I can hand this in to the scientific community and get loads of money for it, or.... This is a prank, isn't it? I mean, this is a talk page, not an advice column.

But just in case this isn't a prank, good luck with those socks.

Cynthia

Okay, Now Let's get Serious.

Sources

Can you please add your source(s) to

I'm not sure if they're digitized, I mostly spent a lot of time poring over maritime maps in my friend's attic. Some names may have changed, as well, to be frank. If I find the sources online I will add them posthaste. Sea Captain Cormac 17:16, 3 October 2018 (UTC)

Red categories

Could you please either create or remove the red categories on your user page? They interfere with the maintenance of the category system. Rathfelder (talk) 08:25, 8 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I came here for the same reason. The trouble with categories is that they don't affect just your user page. Red categories create an error in the category system, and they interfere with the work of editors who perform category maintenance tasks at
previously deleted per consensus. Thanks, -- Black Falcon (talk) 03:43, 9 October 2017 (UTC)[reply

Non-notable names

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Problem with your custom signature

You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.

The problem: Your preferences are set to interpret your custom signature as wikitext. However, your current custom signature does not contain any wikitext.

The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.

Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
  3. Remove anything in the Signature: text box. (It might already be empty.)
  4. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
  3. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page.

More information about custom signatures is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. 19:04, 3 September 2020 (UTC)

Username Change

Hullo,

Cynthia-Coriníon. I ventured onto your userpage and noticed that you wanted to change your username, but couldn't as Wikipedia doesn't allow you to. But, Wikipedia does allow you to, I changed mine a few years ago. You can request it here if you are still interested. Thanks, EDG 543 (talk) 18:19, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply
