Fixed the missing H, thanks. Not sure exactly what you propose wrt the chloride, but you'll see where I put it. The structure is now "rosocyanine proposal 2.png". I'm not sure how best to make a negative charge by ChemDraw. The rest of the text is Arial 12. If you stay in Arial 12 and superscript the "-", I think it's too small and inconspicuous. I recently deleted an objectionable content from wikipedia page on Ramdev. You have restored the contents and have argued that it is based on a cited news story. Then, I suggest that arguements from both sides should be captured in the article. Here are two references that I would like you to consider to include: 1) http://www.deccanherald.com/content/169481/didnt-baton-charge-ramdev-supporters.html ... the police officer said they were forced to retaliate after Baba Ramdev's supporters started throwing stones and flower pots at them ... 2) http://www.newsbullet.in/video/india/11370-ramlila-ground-cctv-footage-recovered- The Delhi Police said they have CCTV footage and TV grabs to prove that no woman was beaten by them.

Both are news channel websites.

In addition to animation, might be good to have a simple schematic diagram of the apparatus (what's submerged in what, what's wired to what, etc.). Those sorts of things are especially useful when paired with the actual chemical equations that are happening (similar to parts of the Chloralkali process article). I'll be a bit sporadic for the next few days with start-of-semester chaos (but this might make a good "useful in the real world" application of redox beyond the usual industrial cases!). DMarcks, A while back, you responded to an issue I raised on the Talk:Bleomycin page about the chembox being really large. You said "InChI is not allowed to have breaks" and that it was a machine readable blob. None of the InChI data appears to be links of any kind, so near as I can tell no machine is reading this (none as a web link ). No , I didn't change the box back, but I'm curious as I see nothing that would cause this to be read. If it were a matter of the field linking out to a database or other site, it could be piped so a cleaner displayed string could cover an ugly link. But the goal is to have the page as seen be web-crawlable, so web-crawlers google or special-purpose chemistry sites can find it. "Structure -> InChI" is supposed to be a purely mechanical process (doesn't depend on how it's drawn, language, etc), so I can then google for that string and find the aricle (if there is one) regardless of whether I draw it in a weird way and without having to know any of its chemical names (which could be many and/or I might not know them, and the ones I might know might not be mentioned in the article). ASCII character 45 is the minus sign. It's been that way since the earliest days of computing. Using any other dash-like character yields nonsense when the resulting information is read by a computer. Just because it's currently in the Wikipedia Manual of Style (MOS) doesn't mean that it's right. The MOS is largely written by the blind leading the blind, people who have no understanding of how computers and computer programs work. The MOS has changed over time; I've long ago stopped arguing with the people who immerse themselves in it and just rely what I've known for the last 40+ years that works or doesn't work. — Quicksilver^{T @} 14:46, 13 September 2011 (UTC)

Indeed it's a mess. But all editors usually wind up getting for their efforts to make article-level changes against it is a block, not a thanks or a start of a discussion that leads somewhere useful:( Getting something like {{convert}} sane would be a huge first step that would have wide-spread results. The folks who work on it have somehow kept their world just separate enough from the MOS that discussions are actually feasible rather than endless drama. Fiddling with infobox data is a poor first step because their formats and uses (and perhaps parsing and connections to off-wiki sites) are often known only to the folks who work on the infobox itself. For example, there's consensus that hyphen isn't "right" for temperature values in chemboxes (I assume consensus typography is based on ACS published styleguide more than wikipedia's goofiness). But hyphen is used for calculated temperature fields (but solely due to inertia). Again the chem folks seem to be able to keep their style-guide discussions more sane than general MOS. You'll definitely want to discuss removal of it on the talk-page, rather than getting yourself blocked for edit-warring against the existing consensus there that this sort of material is proper. All of the information I edited isn't based on my "opinion" at all, but rather by fact. Interesting you highlighted the importance of being neutral while editing, yet you allow this article to be excessively negative toward the proven concept thats being discussed. Count the number of arguments against the idea in the article and you well see that it is obviously negative toward the concept of the water fuel. Many examples of how its not plausible are included and nearly none that are pro-water fuel. Thats not a neutral article. Regarding your delete of the File:CYRILLIC_LETTER_DZHE.PNG page yes the file was moved to commons correctly; at commons, but for some reason when you go to File:CYRILLIC_LETTER_DZHE.PNG the file page on here. You don't see a transclusion of the image, and/or on the pages where the image was shown. Where the file was included the image is not appearing but just showing red links to the deleted file page, instead of transcluding them. The section concerning training of conductors was put up without the express permission of the Baltimore Streetcar Museum, Inc. The person who put this up has been reprimanded in the past by the Museum's Trustees for misrepresenting the Museum. In that vein, the Museum would appreciate that the deletion remain intact. In fact, much of the information in the entire article is either out of date or incorrect. An effort will be made to completely revise the entire article in the near future. And that's exactly the change of yours that others dispute. I agree with them (for exactly their reasoning), and I would also think the listing of both is not good either--no reason to keep repeating all the names, just list the one that is most correct (per credits, per title of WP's own article about the person, etc.) and some one place mention the correspondence. It would need to be discussed on the article's talk-page so it's public for everyone interested in the article to see, not buried on my talk-page where nobody knows to look. I am former medical worker in autopsy (today I am working as geriatric qualified nurse). Such tents are used for to make very, very, veeeery exactly check of whole body just there, where it have beed founded: to make it free from all clothes, to take all possible swabs, to take photographs from all possible points of views, etc. As well: to prevent against wind, rain, dust from arounded area. You chose to delete my article on Melbourne rock band Destroy She Said under Section G11:

I would contend that the article falls under the following criteria:

'An article about a company or a product which describes its subject from a neutral point of view does not qualify for this criterion.'

If you take the time to read the article you will see that there is no subjectivity, the article merely states when the band began, who the members are, discography and where it has recorded its product. It is describing the band and its music from a neutral point of view.

Please clarify this decision and please point out where I have strayed from neutrality, otherwise, please return my article to wikipedia.

I uploaded some images for my article U. Ray and Sons yesterday, under the fair use copyrighted policy. I got repeated bot messages for inadequate tagging and licensing. I went back and checked the copyright status of the texts and discovered that they had expired under the Indian Copyright Act, which states that any creative text or image reverts to the public domain, after sixty years of the death of its originator. SO I changed the status to Public domain on the pictures and was tagged as a vandal. I am writing this Wiki Article as a part of a University assignment and have no intentions of going against the spirit which wikipedia works by. How do I solve this problem? Thanks.

Please read the change you actually made--you did not change the status as you say. For example, this change you made is the type that led to the vandalism warning. You stated there "This is a local copy of an image on Commons, uploaded to ensure protection because it is one of the 100 most-used files on the English Wikipedia" and you stated "This image or media file is available on the Wikimedia Commons as File:Abol Tabol HukoMukhoHyangla Sukumar Ray.JPG". None of either of those statements is true. And you said "it consists entirely of information that is common property and contains no original authorship" but it is clearly an artistic drawing, a creative work made by someone. I am not familiar with the India copyright laws, however, "copyright expired" is very different than "not copyrightable". {{

I have no idea if any of the ideas are worth keeping, but anything your write using copyvio as a starting point for the content is still potentially tainted as a derivative work. I can restore it temporarily if you like so you can gather some ideas, but obviously you'd need to write the new article completely from scratch with cites. According to the Terms of Use for the given source site, it is not "free" in wikipedia terms (prohibits redistribution and commercial reuse). Further, it is replaceable by a free equivalent that would serve the same purpose by taking a free map (for example, from Wikipedia:Blank maps) and marking areas of interest in some color in a graphics-editing program. If you can politely persuade someone to release a specific image under a license that is "free in the WP sense", it would certainly be an acceptable and welcome addition. The range you mention does not include either of the ones on his talk-page just recently. Is there some other set of pages where the IP-hopper is stalking his edits or something? Hi - I'm interested in what exactly your argument is for suppressing A Sniper's translation of Reform Judaism into Hebrew and Yiddish. Reform Judaism is a couple of centuries old and there is plenty of Yiddish literature which deals with it. As for the Hebrew translation being inaccurate, I find it difficult to believe that Reform Judaism's page on Hebrew wikipedia has grown to its current extensive state under an inaccurate title. I'm not allowed to remove the link to the deletion-discussion from that article either--nobody is. Once the discussion ends (I think in 4 days or so), either the article will be kept with no banner (if others think the article is viable) or the article itself will be deleted. Until then, the banner is required, because that way anyone who happens to find the article and thinks "this is an important topic, I don't want to see it deleted" will hopefully jump in and participate in preventing its deletion.
