Stats updates

Hi there, I noticed you made a change to the infobox stats on the

Diego Lainez Leyva article. When doing this, please also make sure you update the timestamp. You can do this by typing 5 tildes (~~~~~) in the |club-update= parameter. Thanks, Nzd (talk) 06:52, 12 August 2018 (UTC)[reply

Information icon I note that you have been continuing to change infobox statistics without updating timestamps, most recently with this edit. Please remember to do this every time you update, by replacing the existing timestamp within the |club-update= parameter with 5 tildes (~~~~~). Not doing so creates work for other editors and is therefore disruptive. Thank you. Nzd (talk) 18:58, 16 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. February 2019

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Diego Lainez, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Nzd (talk) 16:43, 18 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted again. According to Soccerway, Lainez has made four league appearances. He has made a further two in the Copa del Rey, but the infobox should include statistics for the domestic league only (as is stated at the bottom and in the documentation). I'm not sure where you're getting the goal from. Please don't make unexplained changes that go against the sourcing. Thanks, Nzd (talk) 13:24, 19 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did on Diego Lainez. This violates Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Nzd (talk) 11:03, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox timestamps

Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. Welcome to Wikipedia! I just wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions were not quite right. When updating statistics within the infobox of a footballer, please make sure you update the timestamp at the same time, so that both readers and fellow editors know when the information was last updated.

You can do this by replacing the existing timestamp within the |club-update= or |pcupdate= parameter for club stats, or the |nationalteam-update= or |ntupdate= parameter for international stats. For articles that use a DMY

date format, use five tildes (~~~~~), or for MDY dates, use {{subst:mdytime
}}. This will generate the specific time the update was made.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you, Mattythewhite (talk) 14:47, 10 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits

Hello, I thought I'd have another go at reaching out to you about your edits. I do believe that you are editing in good faith, but unfortunately your edits are doing more harm than good. In addition to the issue with timestamps that I and @Mattythewhite have advised about above, you are contunuing to add erroneous data that isn't confirmed by the sources. Please note that appearance and goal statistics within the infobox should relate to the domestic league only. For a player that plays in Mexico, this would mean that we only include the statistics for Liga MX (or below); for a player that plays in Spain, we would only include La Liga statistics (or below). Please do not include statistics for cup competitions.

At the moment, other editors are having to fix or revert your edits. This is disruptive. I have attempted to advise you of these issues here, but you have

competence
are required to edit Wikipedia.

If you have any questions about this, I am very happy to help. You can reply here or leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.
