Speedy Deletion of Nokia 888

Just to let you know I removed the tag on the article

WP:AFD listing if you feel this was in error. Thanks αlεxmullεr 10:56, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply

Yes, you are right with that. I guess I mistagged it because I haven't really got the knack with

No problem. Twinle's a very powerful tool! :) αlεxmullεr 17:17, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What is wrong with the old J-Bomb page?

18:46, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

There was nothing but unreferenced and badly written crap on it Don Cuan (talk) 21:53, 10 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the RfD work

Thanks alot for finding all those redirects, I had forgotten that xqbot would have hidden them all in the long period between the AfD result redirect and the actual deletion of the page. If you find any other remnants please let me know, thanks. --Taelus (talk) 17:59, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

History of Xcode

History of Xcode, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/History of Xcode. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Don Cuan (talk) 09:07, 13 June 2010 (UTC)[reply

Thanks for notifying me. Note that I didn't write the article: I only split it out from Xcode when reading Xcode because it took up perhaps half or more of the words on Xcode, which is probably too much for an embedded history section. In fact, I don't think I've ever used Xcode in my life.
But I think it's always nice for Wikipedia to have history-of-software articles. So I've much improved the article. I've removed perhaps half or more of the list items, then converted the article from list form into prose form.
Are you now willing to withdraw your vote of "Delete"?

Alliance Party

If they take the LibDeb Whip does that not make them part of the government? AJUK Talk!! 22:35, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

To me, being part of government implies that your party has a minister/secretary of state/other position within the executive branch. Obviously, this criterion is incomplete, can't be applied to all types of government and may border
WP:OR. In fact, the concept of a governing party can be questionable in countries where the government is officially non-partisan. I'm not that much into UK politics, so if you feel the label was correct, revert to it. Maybe I was deceived by their single seat in the House of Commons, which wouldn't even be enough to form a parliamentary group over here. Don Cuan (talk) 23:51, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply

Satudarah merge

Don,

Since

Satudarah_(motorcycle_club)
are so obviously about the same topic, go ahead and merge it. The process goes like this:

 1. Hit edit on Satudarah_(motorcycle_club) and copy any unique content to Satudarah - I suggest having two tabs open in your browser
 2. Save the Satudarah page with the edit summary "merge in Satudarah_(motorcycle_club)"
 3. Replace everything on Satudarah_(motorcycle_club) with #REDIRECT Satudarah R from merge and save with the edit summary "redirect after merge to Satudarah"
 4. Go to Talk:Satudarah and add Satudarah_(motorcycle_club) to the top, replacing "today" with the date you merged
 5. Go to Talk:Satudarah_(motorcycle_club) and add Satudarah to the top, replacing "today" with the date you merged

Note that I'm using Satudarah as the target page - this is because we don't need to disambiguate - there is nothing else called Satudarah that this could be confused with (this is not the case with, for example,

Mongols motorcycle club
, since Mongols has a lot of other meanings.)

OER inquiry

Hi Don Cuan, I'm sending you this message because you're one of about 300 users who have recently edited an article in the umbrella category of

WIKISOO course and WikiProject Open), my colleague Pete Forsyth and I have wondered who chooses to edit OER-related articles and why. Regardless of whether you've taken the WIKISOO course yourself - and/or never even heard the term OER before - we'd be extremely grateful for your participation in this brief, anonymous survey before 27 April. No personal data is being collected. If you have any ideas or questions, please get in touch. My talk page awaits. Thanks for your support! - Sara FB (talk) 20:39, 23 April 2014 (UTC)[reply

As you participated in the first nomination, I thought you might be interested in contributing to this new one. –
