In fact, you need to explain all your changes in the last few hours as none of them make sense. I see that you only joined WP:NZ a matter of hours ago and immediately started changing importance ratings. Please desist as it could be taken as vandalism. MurielMary (talk) 09:31, 10 June 2016 (UTC)

In most cases, once your account is
Warracknabeal Wheatbelt
If you reinsert it will you then please make sure that you also add a definition of what it is supposed to mean - otherwise it is precisely not informative at all, but only confusing. I didnt know what "wheatbelt" meant, when I looked it up it said the Wheatbelt was in western Australia. Warracknabeal is not in Western Australia. Also a source would be good.·maunus · snunɐɯ· 08:20, 23 November 2016 (UTC)
- OK, don't worry about it. I found some information and created the article about the Wheatbelt (Australia).·maunus · snunɐɯ· 09:37, 23 November 2016 (UTC)
- Hey Maunus! Thanks for voicing your concerns. Wheatbelt (or wheat belt) is a word I here all the time, especially in regards to the Wimmera. I found it in the dictionary here: [1]. Here is an article I found about Warracknabeal about it [2]. I'll cite it in the page :) EllsworthSchmittendorf (talk) 11:38, 23 November 2016 (UTC)
- BTW Maunus, the new page you've created is a bit odd. I'm sure there is no national wheatbelt and I've never heard of an "Australian wheatbelt". You've only cited one source, and even it is named "Wheat Belt Regions of Australia" - it mentions multiple different ones (including the one Warracknabeal is in) and mentions no national one. Maybe you should reconsider the purpose of the page or make a new one under "Australian wheatbelt regions" (or something similar). If you don't think so, then I'll probably put this up for discussion in the Aus wikiproject sometime so it can be clearer :) EllsworthSchmittendorf (talk) 11:56, 23 November 2016 (UTC)
- Hmm, well I was considering it a single belt around the soutthern and eastern rim of the continent even if it is interrupted. Feel free to change the page as you see fit. The problem was adding "wheatbelt" as a descriptor of a town in East Australia when Wikipedia only recognized the Western Wheatbelt region. I am not going to do more with this, but please do improve however you can.·maunus · snunɐɯ· 14:15, 23 November 2016 (UTC)

Invitation to an in-person meetup in Mohua / Golden Bay
Thinking about your summer break? Think about joining other Wikipedians and Wikimedians in Golden Bay / Mohua! Details are on the meetup page. There's heaps of interesting stuff to work on e.g. the oldest extant waka or New Zealand's oldest ongoing legal case. Or you may spend your time taking photos and then upload them.
Golden Bay is hard to get to and the airline flying into Tākaka uses small planes, so we are holding some seats from and to Wellington and we are offering attendees a $200 travel subsidy to help with costs.
Be in touch with Schwede66 if this event interests you and you'd like to discuss logistics. Schwede66 09:14, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
