Request reason:

I believe I should be unblocked because of my genuine interest in contributing to Wikipedia, which has been misclassified as a false positive "puppet user". If unblocked I would continue contributing to the freeCodeCamp page, which most of my contributions have come from. Otherwise, my other contributions have been for Pan-Genome and Metagenomics pages. These two pages are in the broader category of Bioinformatics and Computational biology, which are more of my expertise. I have not contributed to them as much because I am still new at contributing to Wikipedia. I have been following freeCodeCamp since its inception and I am familiar with the impact it has had on the developer community. That is why I felt the strong urge to contribute for the first time to its Wikipedia page as I believed in its importance and place on Wikipedia. I suspect I was blocked because of the majority of my edits have been made on freeCodeCamp page, which has been imposed upon me in error. My activity is understandably "suspicious." I'm both frustrated and impressed that I was blocked. However, I have not been contributing to Wikipedia for very long and that page was new enough for me to experiment with making changes. I now have more experience with contributing to pages and have now found the Wikipedia:Community_portal page. This page shows other open edit opportunities I can contribute to and links to other pages on how to start contributing to Wikipedia. If I have misinterpreted my block overall, please clarify the block and I can update my argument. As I have mentioned, I am still new to contributing. I will try to make some time to go through the Wikipedia:Contributing to Wikipedia page for more advice on how to edit correctly and effectively. The ISCB aims to improve the communication of scientific knowledge to the public at large, and Wikipedia and its sister sites play an increasingly important role in this communication; the ISCB Wikipedia Competition aims to improve the quality of Wikipedia articles relating to computational biology. Entries to the competition are open now! Articles may be claimed until 1 Dec 2017 and the competition closes on 31 Dec 2017.

For students/trainees: Entry to the competition is open internationally to students and trainees of any level, both as individuals and as groups. Prizes of up to $500 will be awarded to the best contributions as chosen by a judging panel of experts; these will be awarded at the Intelligent Systems for Molecular Biology conference in Chicago in July 2018. Please keep the mission of Wikipedia in mind. We provide the public with accepted knowledge, working in a community.

We do that by finding high quality secondary sources and summarizing what they say, giving

synthesizing

content based on primary sources.

Please use high-quality, recent, secondary sources for medical content (see
predatory publishers – check the publishers of articles (especially open source articles) at Beall's list

The ordering of sections typically follows the instructions at

WP:LEAD

. It summarizes the body. Do not add anything to the lead that is not in the body. Style is covered in MEDMOS as well; we avoid the word "patient" for example.

We don't use terms like "currently", "recently," "now", or "today". See

, which gives great tips for editing about health -- for example, it provides a way to format citations quickly and easily

Citation details are important:
Be sure cite the
PMID for journal articles and ISBN
for books

Please include page numbers when referencing a book or long journal article, and please format citations consistently within an article.

Do not use URLs from your university library that have "proxy" in them: the rest of the world cannot see them.

Reference tags generally go after punctuation, not before; there is no preceding space.

We use very few capital letters (see

WP:MOSCAPS

) and very little bolding. Only the first word of a heading is usually capitalized.

Common terms are not usually wikilinked; nor are years, dates, or names of countries and major cities. Avoid

overlinking
