Adoption Offer

Adoptoffer As you see I have offered to adopt you. I am a fellow Canadian and resident of Ontario. My main focuses are video game articles but I also do general editing and reversion of vandalism. If you would like to accept my offer please leave me a message on my talk page and we can get started in the adoption process. Xtreme racer 04:48, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Answers to Questions

To get a link to say something but take you to something else you would insert this into the page What you want link to say. A sandbox is simply a place to experiment with things like formatting or how to use links. You can use the general sandbox for experimentation, there is no real need for your own sandbox. If you have any more questions don't hesitate to leave me a message, I will respond as quickly as I can. Xtreme racer 00:47, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Categorize Articles

To categorize articles you would insert something like this at the bottom of the page . Obviously there are different categories for different articles so you just have to experiment to find ones that exist that coincide with the article. Xtreme racer 12:39, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism Deletion

When you find vandalism revert or delete it as you did and then consider warning the vandalizer on their talk page (use the history page to find out who made the edit) with a vandalism warning and that's all you have to do. Xtreme racer 20:25, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another Response

Unfortunately userboxes are one area of Wikipedia I don't have experience in. But my best suggestion is put it on your userpage and if someone doesn't like it, just remove it. As to how to name it that's something I leave to the professional userbox makers. Sorry, I can't be much help on this topic. Xtreme racer 06:12, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Answer

Making a request for an article is reserved for people who want to create articles but can't because they are unregistered users, otherwise you could create a test article on your userpage and then when you're ready to add it to Wikipedia, then you can create the article on Wikipedia itself, this way you can get it up to standards before adding to Wikipedia. Xtreme racer (talk) 22:25, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandals

Th best thing you can do about vandals is put a [Wikipedia:Vandalism warning] on their talk page. As a standard user you don't have then power to block people, only the administrators have that power. If enough warnings are issued including a final warning then consider reporting the user to this link. Xtreme racer (talk) 21:09, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Answer

When you see articles like that use one of the templates on this page. But here's an example template db-nonsense. Just place a speedy deletion template, it doesn't have to be that oe on the top of the page and make sure in your edit summary to say you are putting it up for speedy deletion. Fort Boyard

Hi! It was the original series, only dubbed. I also remember Laurent Fignon as a contestant. I remember no remake of this show broadcasted in Czechia. Miraceti (talk) 18:43, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request to participate in University of Washington survey on tool to quickly understand Wikipedians’ reputations

Hello. I'm part of a research group at the University of Washington. In April, we met with some local Wikipedians to learn what they would like to know about other editors’ history and activities (within Wikipedia) when interacting with them on talk pages. The goal of those sessions was to gather feedback to help design an embedded application that could quickly communicate useful information about other Wikipedians. We have now created a few images that we feel represent some of what our participants thought was important. We would appreciate it if you took a few minutes of your time to complete an online survey that investigates whether or not these images would be useful to you. Your quick contribution would be very valuable to our research group and ultimately to Wikipedia. (When finished, the code for this application will be given over to the Wikipedia community to use and/or adjust as they see fit.)

Willing to spend a few minutes taking our survey? Click this link.

Please feel free to share the link with other Wikipedians. The more feedback, the better! The survey is completely anonymous and takes less than 10 minutes to complete. All data is used for university research purposes only.

Thank you for your time! If you have any questions about our research or research group, please visit our user page. Commprac01 (talk) 01:00, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to DirecTV may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
 • DirecTV also offers local channels (CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox, [[Public
 • Orlando, FL]].
