Hello and
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- To sign your posts (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).
- Try the test area.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk
- Eventually, you might want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- Remember Wikipedia:Neutral point of view
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!

About your star pictures
Hi, I'm an active user on the Spanish Wikipedia wondering if the star images (Image:Cscr-candidate.png, Image:Cscr-featured.png, and such) are free for use on the other Wikipedias. We're currently organizing our feautured articles and having templates similar to the ones on this wiki would be great. You can answer me either here or here.--Fito 01:46, May 7, 2005 (UTC)
- Fito, they can be used on other Wikipedias. Clockwork, I can upload this image to the Wikimedia Commons for you. Zscout370 (talk) 01:48, 7 May 2005 (UTC)
- Fito: absolutely, you can take all of them you like. The original, unmodified versions are Image:Featured article star.png, Image:Featured article candidate .png, Image:Star piece.png, and Image:Former featured article candidate.png, if you want them. Zscout, if you wanted to upload them, that would be great. – ClockworkSoul 01:55, 7 May 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks alot. I'm going to propose the template standarisation over there too.--Fito 02:07, May 7, 2005 (UTC)
Wikiportal
Thanks for creating the wikiportal about Mexico. We are planning to do so on fr.wikipedia.org. Your portal would help us a lot. --Youssef 18:36, 4 September 2005 (UTC)

I encourage you to take an active voice in the running of Esperanza. We have a small government system, headed by our Administrator general, Essjay, and guided by the Advisory Committee comprised of myself, Flcelloguy. Ryan Norton, and Acetic Acid. The next set of elections will be at the end of the year, and I would be glad to see you vote, or even consider running for a position.
If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact me via email or talk page. Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to be!Bratschetalk | Esperanza 16:43, 30 October 2005 (UTC)

Re: Wikipedia e-mail (I've been blocked)
You probably was hit by one of the many open proxy blocks I did. The block is directed to an IP address, not to your username (there is no block on your username). Without you giving me more information from the block message (which should tell exactly which is the blocked IP address), it's impossible for me to know what to unblock. It would also be useful for me to know which internet provider is it, so a message can be added warning other admins about possible side effects of blocks on it.
Also, your email address on your Wikipedia preferences is bouncing.

Excellent addition to Portal:Mexico
Your recent addition to the Portal was most excellent. This things are really low-maintainance and provide a wealth of information. Are you planning to prepare a similar template for each month? March is already around the corner... -- Rune Welsh | ταλκ 13:07, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- I just created the page at Portal:Mexico/March in the history of Mexico. Feel free to make changes as you see fit. Apparently we are a bit short on holidays during March... -- Rune Welsh | ταλκ 00:38, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. I hope you don't mind if I revert your changes to the selected picture and article. I usually change those at the middle of the month (as I said in the Portal's talk page!). Also, we've featured archaelogical stuff too recently already and right now you just made both the picture and the article on that subject. Now that you've written the material we can use it later, but not this month. Deal? -- Rune Welsh | ταλκ 07:41, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
- I was thinking the same thing, until I realized that if we both forget to prepare the article in advance at the turn of the month there would be no content to show! If for some reason we forget/can't update the portal (like when it happened last year) something would still bne shown. -- Rune Welsh | ταλκ 11:24, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
