- Thanks, that's a great source, and welcome to the project!
- Since you seem to be interested in adding OSU information, take a look at this page: Wikipedia:WikiProject_Oregon/Sports for a list of OSU football players in the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame who don't have articles yet. It would be great to get those knocked out. --Esprqii (talk) 19:06, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

DYK
FYI, I nominated your Percy Locey article to appear on the Wikipedia front page under the Did You Know? section. Hopefully it will be selected. Feel free to self-nominate other articles you create, but read the guidelines on article length and so forth. It's fun for you to see your article on the front page, and it's good publicity for the Oregon project. --Esprqii (talk) 00:16, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Rollback
Hey, I was on vandalism patrol and might have gotten a little jumpy on one of your edits. If so, I apologize.
Hey, once again good job creating OSU related articles. I had a question though- The OSU media guide lists him on the "year by year results" section as "Guy Kenney", not "Guy Kennedy". On the secton to the right of that, however, they do indeed list him as Guy Kennedy. That is why I made the coaches template have his name spelled that way. Any idea if that is just a typo, and "Kennedy" is right, or did you just guess that that was the right spelling over the two options? VegaDark (talk) 03:07, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, upon further review it lists him as Gary Kennedy on the right side initially, the right below that lists him as Guy Kennedy. so there are 3 possible name combinations that could be right based on the media guide as a source. In the book "Oregon State Football" by Kip Carlson, it lists his name as Guy Kenney, but he may have just made the same mistake I did. Any sources you know of that give weight to any particular spelling over the others? VegaDark (talk) 03:16, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- Hmm...Since there is no real way to know which is correct at the moment, I will add a note to their pages about the names possibly being different. Creating redirects from the other names is probably a good idea as well. VegaDark (talk) 04:04, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'm curious about Tommy Cade/Code. Do any of your sources indicate where he attended college or played football? One of the VERY early Stanford quarterbacks (before QB was the position it is today) is listed as "Tommy Code" but I bet this is the same guy. Let me know if you can uncover anything on this. Great work on these articles. --Esprqii (talk) 18:49, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

McFadden
I noticed you completed creating pages for all the remaining OSU head football coaches, except for McFadden (who is currently not linked on the coaches template). I made it unlinked because the OSU media guide doesn't list a first name for him, so I didn't know what page to link it to. We could try and do some research to find what his full name was, but if that fails another option would be to simply create a page called McFadden (football coach) and explain in the article that his full name is unknown. If it is ever discovered, the page can be moved to that name. VegaDark (talk) 20:29, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Oregon GA COTW
Howdy to
On another note, just a general good job/pat on the back to the project for a great 2007, the first full year of the project. We had 83 DYKs about Oregon, improved one article to FA, and went from around 4 GAs to 17 GAs. Plus numerous new articles, improvements to existing, the introduction of the COTW, and the introduction of article assessment at the project. Again, great job and here’s to a new year. Hello again from
AfD nomination of Internet Superstar
I have nominated Internet Superstar, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Internet Superstar. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Kim Dent-Brown (Talk) 23:20, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
- Hi there, I'm sorry to have 'tagged a regular', but I don't check editors' credentials before I submit and AfD: I have to go on the article I see in front of me. I'm afraid I don't see how a podcast less than a week into its first airing can be notable, and you didn't cite any independent sources to show that it is. Of course if you can cite them, I'll happily withdraw the AfD. best wishes - Kim Dent-Brown (Talk) 23:23, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

As we have quite a few new members over the last six months, I’ll make another pitch for our various subprojects. Listed here, you will find a variety of groups focused on specific areas of Oregon from transportation to culture. Not only can you sign up and coordinate work there, but each often has useful sources and templates related to that topic. No pressure, just an introduction to those new to the project. Adios. This week, its back to stubs with one of the largest newspapers in the state, The Register-Guard, and a request with Oregon Coast. Feel free to help with either one, and the paper article is so short a DYK should be pretty easy to get (just need 5X expansion). 1 Year of the Collaboration of the Week
Hello again to those of
This week marks the one week anniversary of the COTW, so a brief highlight reel:
- At least 10 DYKs
- Three articles passed GA after being listed at COTW
- Probably around 25 articles started
- Almost all Top importance articles are now better than Stub class
And now on with our countdown. This week we have two requests, the Willamette Meteorite and Tom McCall. Hopefully we can get both to GA quality. Click here to opt out of these messages, or click here to make a suggestion for a future COTW. Thank you. Aboutmovies (talk) 09:41, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

Ssssh, Be Very Very Quiet, its Oregon COTW time
Howdy folks, its time for this week’s edition of Oregon’s Collaboration of the Week. First off, great job the last two weeks with Greg Oden & the Hospital red link drive. We had close to ten new hospital articles and two DYKs () plus other improvements to the list itself. So thank you to those who helped out. This week, we have on a sad note Kevin Duckworth, and the Statesman Journal. Duckworth should have plenty of sources so hopefully in tribute we can get his article up to standards. With the SJ, hopefully we can get it above a stub so all three of the top three papers are no longer stubs, and maybe even a DYK and GA like we got from the Register-Guard? Once again, click here to opt out of these messages, or click here to make a suggestion for a future COTW. Hasta la bye bye. Aboutmovies (talk) 20:17, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
WP:ORE COTW Version 2.2
Hello WikiProject Oregon contributors. It's time for another COTW. Thank you to those who helped improve Kevin Duckworth and the Statesman Journal last week, we received another DYK () for the SJ. This week, by request we have Mr. Ken Kesey and not by request Nike, Inc.. Nike is the only Start class article in the top 30 of those articles selected for the hard copy edition, and it could easily be improved to B class. Once again, click here to opt out of these messages, or click here to make a suggestion for a future COTW. Aboutmovies (talk) 23:51, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Corvallis High School (Oregon), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Swimming (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).
