Hi Judith, and thank you for your message,

When I looked at the (now deleted) draft, the first thing I searched for an existing article for

speedy deletion of an album or a song by a musical act that itself doesn't have a mainspace article
.

While your sandbox article includes links to a number of notable speedcubers, my advice would be start the World Rubik's Cube Championship article, and then add the annual competitions after that.

If you would like to have the deleted content of

moved into your userspace
, just let me know.

Ah, that makes sense. I never made the "draft" in my sandbox official, I wanted to create a sketch for something that makes more sense than the bloated thing Julio created in the (now deleted) draft. I modelled it off the French article fr:Championnat du monde de Rubik's cube 2017. Honestly, I am currently not invested enough in having an article on the topic to further pursue this, unless someone else also shows interest (which Julio hasn't in 6 months). Your deletion just popped up in my watchlist. Thanks for your time. Judith Sunrise (talk) 22:32, 16 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Shirt58: - PS: I'm jealous, the upcoming 2019 world championship is going to be in Melbourne. I wish I was closer. Judith Sunrise (talk) 22:36, 16 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

WCA comp count

Hey, I saw your message, checked the newest database export (the one from today) and I get 7105 uncancelled competitions (and 7373 total comps including cancelled ones). I also don't see why the website shows 7051 uncancelled comps instead, but 7105 is at least close (and quite a lot more than the 6704 you seem to see; have you double checked that figure?). If you also get 7105 from the newest export, we would at least, for now, be on the same page with Pixomite as far as 7,000+ goes... Felida97 (talk) 17:13, 6 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Felida97: Hello! I found the issue. I had an incorrect setting when opening the table in Libre Office. 7051 is correct. 7105 probably includes future competitions. Thank you very much! Judith Sunrise (talk) 18:58, 6 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, and you're right, if you take out future competitions, the newest database export also shows exactly 7051 uncancelled comps as it should :) Felida97 (talk) 20:40, 6 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
