Hi there!!!

Thanks for visiting my talk page. If you leave a message below, I'll reply as soon as I can. Please bear with me though. Between work and family, I don't have much free time.

Hello, L0st H0r!z0ns, and

welcome to Wikipedia! I am Sam Sailor and I would like to thank you for your contributions
. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Some pages of helpful information to get you started:
Introduction to Wikipedia
  The five pillars of Wikipedia
Editing tutorial
  How to edit a page
  Simplified Manual of Style
The basics of Wikicode
  How to develop an article
How to create an article
  Help pages
  What Wikipedia is not
Some common sense Do's and Don'ts:
  Do be bold
  Do assume good faith
  Do be civil
  Do keep cool!
Do maintain a neutral point of view
  Don't spam
  Don't infringe copyright
Don't edit where you have a conflict of interest
  Don't vandalize
  Don't get blocked

Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.

The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun! To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your userpage.

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:

  Fight vandalism
Be a WikiFairy or a WikiGnome
  Help contribute to articles
  Perform maintenance tasks
Become a member of a project that interests you
  Help design new templates

If you need further help, you can:

  Ask a question

or even:

Ask an experienced editor to "adopt" you

Alternatively, place {{helpme}} on your talk page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Again, welcome,  and happy editing!

Hi
WikiProject Anatomy page. Regarding the changes I made, it's not a question of American or British spelling. "Mucous" and "mucus" are two different words... "mucous" is an adjective of the word "mucus". Many thanks again for the welcome message. tH0r (talk contribs) 09:17, 24 January 2015 (UTC)[reply

Thank you for your efforts at

...Natural product. Your participation is appreciated, in that for-too-long abandoned article. Someday, after a conflicting editor retires, I may return to assist you. I am a big fan of broad, secondary source-based editing that results in articles presenting the preponderance of scientific opinion. Good luck with your work there. 71.239.87.100 (talk) 00:10, 25 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi 71.239.87.100,
I haven't done very much, but thanks. It would be nice to see Natural product make good article status, but it needs a chemist and someone with a good overview of the subject to work on it. I'll tidy the biology stuff up as time permits. I do try to use secondary or tertiary sources where I can. This is almost always possible for the Natural product page because it's such a big subject, but more difficult for the wikilinked/spinoff pages like Amycolatopsis rifamycinica or Bugula neritina. If you spot me making any mistakes, please let me know. Hope you can return to the page soon.
Thanks,

This is to inform you that an attempt is being made to overturn an RfC that you voted on

This is to inform you that an attempt is being made to overturn an RfC that you voted on (2 RfCs, actually, one less than six months ago and another a year ago). The new RfC is at:

Wikipedia:Village pump (policy)#RfC: Allow private schools to be characterized as non-affiliated as well as religious, in infobox?

Specifically, it asks that "religion = none" be allowed in the infobox.

The first RfC that this new RfC is trying to overturn is:

The result of that RfC was "unambiguously in favour of omitting the parameter altogether for 'none' " and despite the RfC title, additionally found that "There's no obvious reason why this would not apply to historical or fictional characters, institutions etc.", and that nonreligions listed in the religion entry should be removed when found "in any article".

The second RfC that this new RfC is trying to overturn is:

The result of that RfC was that the "in all Wikipedia articles, without exception, nonreligions should not be listed in the Religion= parameter of the infobox.".

Note: I am informing everyone who commented on the above RfCs, whether they supported or opposed the final consensus. --Guy Macon (talk) 03:30, 26 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jytdog,
Many thanks for the information. I had thought Zenodo was one of the more respectable repositories, but I guess any of these websites (ResearchGate, academia.edu, etc.) are only as copyright compliant as the authors uploading their articles. I'll be more careful in future.
Thanks,
