Hello

The SiLT page has been deleted due to unambiguous advertising. I have read Wikipedia's guidance and this was my first post - apologies if I've made a straight-forward mistake. But could you give more clarification about why the article was deleted?

There seems to be lots of information on wikipedia about other academic journals and publications so why can't SiLT also have a page? I'm more than happy to change the content within the article if any of the sections are inappropriate.

Why has my article been deleted?

I posted an article about an academic publication: Studies in Language Testing. The article was deleted. There seems to be lots of articles on wikipedia about other academic journals and publications so I'm not sure where I went wrong.

I've asked the editor for clarification but haven't received any response. Could anyone else help me - I'm happy to make changes to the article so it is acceptable.

However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
