I'd like to ask you to reconsider your opinion. There are currently some 160 per nationality subcategories in Category:Athletes by nationality Of those, only four (the U.S., Canada, Colombia, and Singapore) use "track and field athletes" the other 156 use just "athletes". The proposal only calls for changing Colombia and Singapore and leaves alone the only two countries where a distinction is made between "athletics" and "track and field". I grew up in Rome, and guessed from your page you may have been at Grif (air force brat, I believe you said) One of your obscure references, "Good night, and may God bless! (another obscure reference)", is the sign-off line of Red Skelton, hence the Red reference (and Mean Widdle Kid, one of Red's characters). So when were you in Rome?
