Edit summary
Hi MathsIsFun. I have a small request. I would like to ask you to put an
edit summary more often when you contribute. I hope you don't mind. :) Thanks. Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 02:42, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply

COI concerns
If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with,
participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors,
linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
Conflict of Interest guideline. Thank you. RJASE1Talk 14:02, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply

RFC discussion of your username (MathsIsFun)
Hello,
incompatible with that policy. You can contribute to the discussion about it here. Alternatively, if you agree that your username may be problematic and are willing to change it, it is possible for you to keep your present contributions history under a new name. Simply request a new name here following the guidelines on that page, rather than creating a whole new account. Thank you. -- RJASE1Talk 17:22, 11 April 2007 (UTC) RJASE1Talk 17:22, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply

Your userpage seems to be an ad for a website with the same name as your username. It's really not a good idea to do that - Wikipedia is
not a soapbox. Also, it seems like you've made lots of valuable contributions, and some of those will be questioned because of the perception some may have that you are editing in order to promote your website. It might be a good idea to change your username, and it might be a good idea to rewrite your userpage: it's good to mention your affiliation with your website, that's just being honest, but it could be a lot more limited. See this WP:ANI thread for some discussion. Mangojuicetalk 20:36, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply
