Hi, A while back you removed an addition I made to a page on Edward Abbey. I am replacing it. Your reasons for removing are not valid, from a scholarly point of view.
https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Edward_Abbey&direction=next&oldid=436466337
1. "The publication is not significant". This is an article about Edward Abbey. The quotes are direct from him about his death. What publication they appeared in is irrelevant. 2. "Can't find online". This publication pre-dates the internet. Can we not cite things that pre-date the internet?
I will replace the removed content. I apologize if I am doing this wrong. I am not very experienced with Wikipedia protocol or etiquette.

WikiProject Computer Security user status
Hello Mesoderm,
I would just like to inquire on your status on WikiProject Computer Security as the list of WikiProject Computer Security/Members is going to be improved to list active and inactive users.
This is update is being done according to a request for comments on the WikiProject Computer Security talk page. Be sure to state your status at the User status section in the WikiProject Computer Security talk page before the end of four weeks as this will state your status as inactive in the project if not done before then.

Invite to the African Destubathon
Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most geography, wildlife and women articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 55 African countries, so should be enjoyable! Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African wildlife articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance. If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing any article related to a topic you often work on, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Might be a good way to work on fleshing out articles you've long been meaning to target and get rewarded for it! Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 04:56, 13 October 2016 (UTC)

File source problem with File:Active vehicle barriers.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:Active vehicle barriers.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Copy within
It appears that in this edit You are incorporating material from Alabama.
This type of edit does get picked up by Copy Patrol and a good edit summary helps to make sure we don't accidentally revert it. However, for future use, would you note the best practices wording as outlined at Wikipedia:Copying_within_Wikipedia? In particular, adding the phrase "see that page's history for attribution" helps ensure that proper attribution is preserved.
The ideal step is to make a notation in the edit summary at the time of addition, but the guideline provides instructions on how to add it after the fact
I've noticed that this guideline is not very well known, even among editors with tens of thousands of edits, so it isn't surprising that I point this out to some veteran editors, but there are some t's that need to be crossed.S Philbrick(Talk) 20:34, 13 October 2022 (UTC)
