Adi Cristescu (born Adrian Cristescu; 26 September 1981 in Bucharest, Romania) is a Romanian Singer-Songwriter, Pianist, Producer,Film Composer, Poet, Painter,Actor,Musician, and Performer. He graduated from Dinu Lipatti Music High School in Bucharest and later graduated Colegiul National de Arte Dinu Lipatti Conservatory in Bucharest. Regarded as one of the most important figures in Romanian popular music, he is renowned for his often romantic and soulful releases.[1]

Adi Cristescu began his career at a very early age. He started taking piano lessons at three and a half years old. [2] Not too long after, Adi composed his first song in Elementary School . After graduating high school " Dinu Lipatti " Adi continued his musical education at the Bucharest Conservatory in Jazz Composition. Adi's tireless creative spirit led him to the fascinating world of film composing, where he worked with famous directors and composed music for short and feature films. Founder of the band "Korekt"

When asked about how one composes soul music, singer Dan Balan explained: "I believe that you first of all have to have soul. You could be white, black - it doesn't matter - straight or gay. You can compose from your soul. And if it's your soul - like Adi - he's a handsome sexy man, okay? Now, does he have that soul and he composes and he does it all."[13]
