If you want help finding your way around the chemistry pages, Portal:Chemistry is a good place to start, you can also take a look at a short list on my user page. I would particularly encourage you to take a look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Chemicals (WP:Chem) and our worklist, which is (I believe) the most extensive on Wikipedia. The recent featured article (FA) on acetic acid was a product of this group. You may prefer to work on your own, but WP:Chem is good for coordinating activity, to make sure that we don't duplicate our efforts and that we standardise on certain formats. You will find us a very friendly and supportive group, things like edit wars are never seen here.

A minor thing- normally we only sign with four tildes when we leave a comment on a talk page. If you contribute to an article you don't do that, rather the attribution is found through the page history.

I am concerned that the image you uploaded, Image:Uni precinct mappin.gif, may be a copyright violation - it looks as though you have highlighted the building on the University's own map. I saw the entry on Haslington (which is where I was born and lived until 1961), and discovered it had been "taken over" by some people who claimed it was a kingdom of some sort. I changed it back and have added various bits to it, but I've now discovered that you are planning to expand various entries which I've already tinkered with. My apologies if I've stepped out of line with this. I hope it hasn't clashed too much with what you were planning to do yourself. I've also added an entry for Haslington Hall in the List of

Editing news The first featured content to have been developed by project members is Listed buildings in Runcorn, Cheshire, promoted to Featured List in January, thanks largely to the hard work of Peter I. Vardy . Six articles have been promoted to Good Article status since the beginning of July. Congratulations to everyone who worked on them! Bridgewater Canal Lindow Man Lyme Park Norton Priory St Mary's Church, Nether Alderley St Mary's Church, Nantwich There are no articles currently at Featured or GA review. Seven articles have featured on the Did You Know? section of the main page since the beginning of July: National Waterways Museum, Ellesmere Port 1156 articles are tagged for the project, of which 26 require assessment. Project members are currently working in the following areas: Peter I. Vardy: Arley Hall Espresso Addict: Crewe Hall DDStretch: Former administrative divisions of Cheshire (in sandbox for now) Add your current projects here... Within Cheshire, the articles for the new unitary authorities Cheshire East and Cheshire West and Chester have already been created and need expansion. The Cheshire Portal has been converted to use random selections. There are currently 8 selected articles, 8 selected biographies, 8 selected pictures, 13 sets of four DYKs (52 in total) & 6 quotations. The topics box has also been reformatted & expanded, to highlight more Cheshire content. Emma Hamilton & mountaineer George Mallory; a list of suggested biographies for project members to develop is here . The Cheshire Project Collaboration for the next few months is WP:GAC . This is the first edition of the Cheshire newsletter, which aims to inform members about what is happening across the project and to facilitate cooperation between people to improve Wikipedia's coverage of Cheshire.
