Military intervention against ISIL
Nykterinos (talk) 15:20, 4 January 2016 (UTC)
Errore mio, chiedo scusa :) -- Nick.mon (talk) 18:55, 4 January 2016 (UTC)
- Figurati, poteva essermi sfuggito qualcosa.
Buona giornata! -- Nick.mon (talk) 09:17, 5 January 2016 (UTC)

Italian constitutional referendum, 2016
Hi, I just want to first thank you for having written a really good article on the the referendum to reform the Italian Senate, and for updating it frequently with poll results. It gives a great summary of all the issues and positions of different parties really well.
I just wanted to pick up on one part of it that may not be entirely correct, but I'm not entirely sure. You state in the article that "the membership of the Senate would be changed, with regional representatives appointed in a manner virtually identical to Germany's Bundesrat". The reason I'm not sure about is because the Bundesrat is really weird and unique (basically there are no permanent representatives and the Minister-President of each state appoints one person who casts all the votes of that state by themselves), and when I last read about these reforms it implied that senators would be indirectly elected by the regional parliaments, more akin to the Fedreal Council of Austria (it was a few comments by someone on https://fruitsandvotes.wordpress.com/ (because I'm that sort of person who reads a blog on electoral systems and constitutions...)).
I've been trying to find a source that explains how the Senators would be appointed and how many would be appointed to each region, but I've had little success so far (my French is good, but my Italian is pretty basic), and I was wondering if you'd be able to find a source that could clarify this?
Otherwise, fantastic article, and I'm really glad you wrote it so I can follow the polling over the next few months MoreofaGlorifiedPond,Really... (talk) 14:52, 4 March 2016 (UTC)
- @MoreofaGlorifiedPond,Really...: Thank you very much for these kind words :) Anyway the process of Senators' appointment is quite complicated, in fact here in Italy, we aren't satisfied if we don't complicate everything.
- You are probably right when you said that the best example isn't the Bundesrat, in fact of the 100 Senators, 74 will be appointed by Regional Councils. In the electoral package there will be a list with the name of councilors that are candidated to become Senators. Moreover there will be 21 mayors of main cities and 5 members appointed by the President of Italy, who remain in office for seven years.
- Here there are some sources: this one in Italian (which is more complete) and this one in English. I hope they will be useful, good evening! -- Nick.mon (talk) 19:11, 4 March 2016 (UTC)

- @Drahdiwaberling: If you are talking about the number of members of the Parliament, I think that they are incorrect. Maybe one year ago PD had 31 MEP and 308 deputies, but not now :) -- Nick.mon (talk) 21:08, 25 September 2016 (UTC)

Pentapartito Article
Hi Nick.Mon. You have appeared to remove my edit noting the successor stage of Italian Politics was known as Mani Pulite. Do you disagree? I can provide a reference if need be. Bergmanucsd (talk) 02:58, 11 October 2016 (UTC)bergmanucsd
- @Bergmanucsd: Hi, you are right when you said that the "historical event" after the Pentapartito is Mani Pulite, but the successor means "political successor"; a political alliance or a party that succeeded to the Pentapartito, and Mani Pulite wasn't an electoral alliance. -- Nick.mon (talk) 14:16, 11 October 2016 (UTC)

While reverting changes in Donald Trump's longstanding portrait on various pages, I noticed that you replaced his picture on all the state election pages, such as
- @JFG: You are right, I changed Trump's image in all the state election pages because, this photo (File:Donald Trump, October 2016 by Gage Skidmore (cropped).jpg) was used in the main article for almost two days, so I decided to edit all the other articles to keep, as you said, a consistent image everywhere. This is my reason, anyway I will revert all my edits. Have a good day! -- Nick.mon (talk) 08:17, 15 November 2016 (UTC)
