Unlinking valid links
Why did you unlink the valid links to The Times and Western Morning News here? DuncanHill (talk) 01:04, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
- I was unlinking them in line with WP:Repeatlinks in the MOS. If you think this was incorrect please let me know why! PanydThe muffin is not subtle 01:10, 17 October 2010 (UTC)]
- Because you removed them from the refs - someone consulting the ref should not have to use their browser's "find in this page" function to track down a link to the article on the newspaper being used as a reference. The MoS isn't written from the point of view of people who actually consult articles, alas. BTW, no need to use a talkback template, I do have a watchlist! SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping. If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from Nettrom (talk), SuggestBot's caretaker. P.S. The new logo is so different as to warrant upload under a new name, i.e. "File:Girlguiding Scotland new.png" or "File:Girlguiding Scotland 2010.png" instead of overwriting the existing file. Clarification request
Regarding Lauren Hodges. The actress herself requested the article be deleted? I have two concerns with this:
- It seems unusual for anyone in the entertainment industry to shy away from what is essentially free publicity.
- There is an editor, User:MR90, who has repeatedly tried to get the article stripped of detail or deleted. The editor has twice been blocked for edit warring and content removal, and may well have created a sock puppet to evade a block. It is not inconceivable that this editor may have faked an OTRS request.
I think you can understand my concern. -- Scjessey (talk) 22:29, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
- I completely understand your concerns. I will look into it and get back to you tomorrow. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. PanydThe muffin is not subtle 22:45, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
- I have spoken to the person in question and although I cannot confirm 100% that they are the subject, I am WP:AGF with regards to this one. This means that although I cannot categorically state that they are the person in question, and I will update the AfD to reflect this, I am fairly convinced by the evidence which has been presented to me. If you would like the input of other OTRS members, the ticket number is 2010102610006149 and I would be more than happy to discuss this with them. I'm sorry I can't be more transparent with regards to this but we have to protect confidentiality with regards to these matters. Ouija Board Criticism
Thanks for the good work and excellent sourcing. It's much improved from it's former state as a narrowly focused occult/religious

Panyd: I appreciate your enthusiastic effort in trying to upgrade this article. Certainly, there has been some improvement in the quality of the piece. However, it still faces the central problem of the article - it's an unneeded fork, as Ouija is not a problematically long article. If there is material of value in there - and there is some, but there is also still some of other kind, pile-on material of any critical mention of Ouija - then it belongs not in its own separate article (which was created seemingly simply to avoid the editors of Ouija, rather than out of legitimate need) but in the main article itself. --Nat Gertler (talk) 00:09, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

Hi Panyd. You may want to lend your LexisNexis-like talents to the backlog on
- Thanks for pointing me in that direction! Looks like a lot of fun. I gave the Jack Sarfatti article a once over; using Lexis of course! Hope it helps. PanydThe muffin is not subtle 19:59, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
- Re the Times, answered here. Well, I guess Sarfatti is quite controversial (to say the least) : ) so sourcing will have to be carefully evaluated. A good indicator is when multiple reliable sources agree on something. A fact found only in a single source may not be definitive. Thanks for pitching in. Hi, took a quick look as discussed yesterday and tidied a citation. I see no issue with this one, plenty of independent sources and substantial enough to resist a merge any time soon. It looks like the List of demons has improved since I last looked at it (in fact it's been disambiguated) though I'm not sure that D.C. is a demon. It may be worth adding to List of legendary creatures by type. Cheers, Fæ (talk) 11:00, 15 November 2010 (UTC) ]

Thanks...for the warm welcoming; yet I have to admit that I'am a little puzzled as to the alleged conflict of interest here. I'am unfortunately in no way connected to the European Union or any suborganisation thereof; if some of the additions to the named article do not mirror the truth, lack citation and or are written in a non neutral way, please name them and we will deliberate what to do. Lastly, I thank you for your offer of proofreading as I am often very prone to typos. Thanks again Regards Bryan de Bois Gilbert (talk) 14:18, 16 November 2010 (UTC) Bryan de Bois Gilbert

Hacket draftHello there. I have just come across your William Hacket draft. How's it going? My interest right now is in John Udall (Puritan) which I created yesterday, given that there were some links between the Coppinger-Arthington-Hacket group and Udall's imprisonment. In fact Udall was appealing in 1591, and some sources say that the Hacket incident made it harder for Udall to make the case for his release. Charles Matthews (talk) 07:07, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

Your whole RfA expressed that there's no need to. As I said, if one more support would have made a difference I would have gladly given it.
