Agatha Christie bio photo
Hi and thanks for adding the Christie photo to her bio. I would suggest using a cropped version such as below in the Christie bio information box, what do you think? RLO1729 (talk) 10:22, 8 November 2019 (UTC)

Hello
- Great, thanks! Also many thanks for the NPG links, I'll explore the copyright issues. In addition, I've asked Agatha Christie Ltd for their advice on a suitable image for the biography information box that can be used under Creative Commons. Hopefully, they will respond next week and then we can go from there in terms of choosing the best images. RLO1729 (talk) 06:12, 9 November 2019 (UTC)

An article you recently created,
Kt postnom
You are wrongly adding "Kt" to article: this is only for
- Gaia Octavia Agrippa. I'm sorry, but could you please indicate what your statement is based on? You see, I proposed to introduce a postnominal Kt in the style of Laurence Olivier, and in the discussion of the article in the discussion of this proposal, we reached an impasse. Thank You. --Peter Philim (talk) 06:31, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, Laurence Olivier is a case where Kt should be used; I've commented on the talk page. There is a fully referenced section at Knight Bachelor#Honorifics and post-nominal letters, but see here. Post-nominal letters are signposts, and Kt has particular restrictions on its use. Gaia Octavia Agrippa Talk 09:27, 28 June 2021 (UTC)

MOS:POSTNOM
Hi, as per
If a baronetcy or peerage is held, then commas should always be used for consistency's sake, as the former are separated from the name by a comma.Eg, the removal of commas at Caroline Dinenage was incorrect. Please don't remove commas if they are already there. Gaia Octavia Agrippa Talk 22:12, 8 March 2022 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Joanne Woodward into List of awards and nominations received by Joanne Woodward. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g.,
copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 01:09, 8 July 2022 (UTC)
- @DanCherek Good afternoon. Initially, I entered information about Joanne Woodward's awards and nominations on her page, but then I decided to create a new article and transferred the information myself. I don't think this is a copy. Or do you mean the information at the beginning of the article? Peter Philim (talk) 01:50, 8 July 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, I meant the introductory paragraphs. Since that text was originally contributed by many other editors, the edit summary should be used to point back to that article and provide attribution to them. I've done this for you in the edit summary of this diff, so this is just a reminder for any future copying. Please let me know if you have any questions about that. Thanks, DanCherek (talk) 01:54, 8 July 2022 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:E. C. Bentley.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:24, 29 October 2022 (UTC)

Hello @Peter Philim: could you please create an article for English actress Elspeth Dudgeon, best known for playing the role of "Sir Roderick Femm" (credited as "John Dudgeon") in the 1932 film The Old Dark House and later appeared in the 1935 film Becky Sharp? 181.179.30.97 (talk) 16:38, 8 November 2022 (UTC)

Kelly Curtis edit
I have reverted your addition of an unsourced date of birth to
- @Teblick I took this information from an article about Janet Leigh. You can delete it there too if there are no sources. Peter Philim (talk) 07:31, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointed out where you found the date. After reading your reply, I saw the date of birth in Janet Leigh. It is cited to a book listed under "Sources" at the end of that article, but unfortunately I do not have access to that book to verify that the date is in the source. If you have access to it, please restore the date to Kelly Curtis with an appropriate citation. Eddie Blick (talk) 01:05, 26 January 2023 (UTC)

Hi Peter Philim! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of List of awards and nominations received by Cate Blanchett several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:List of awards and nominations received by Cate Blanchett, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Indagate (talk) 17:18, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Indagate Good afternoon. My edit was aimed at bringing the article to a common style. But you are obviously not interested in that. Why? Peter Philim (talk) 17:23, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Indagate your silence looks like the absence of objective arguments in favor of your point of view. If you have nothing to say, I will return my edits to the article. Peter Philim (talk) 19:27, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
- Give people more than 2 hours to respond, people have lives other than Wikipedia. Use edit summaries, when you make edits and when you revert. Assume good faith, don't assume people don't have a reason especially when they've given one in edit summaries. Follow WP:ACCESS issues and makes it harder to follow the rows. That whole table needs sourcing, could be removed per WP:Verifiability. Indagate (talk) 20:34, 25 January 2023 (UTC)]
