I don't have any idea what motivated this. Perhaps it is because I included links to 2 of my recent publications. I have removed the links. Any other directions about what is inappropriate would be much appreciated.

I'm looking on your edits, and you edit a lot of circumcision. I'm not here to complain about your edits, but rather your use of your actual name on Wikipedia. It's one thing for red_dragon371 to get a community ban, but in you're case, complaints on Wikipedia might make it to the real world. I'd recommend using a more anonymous nickname.
