Castle Green
I was only aware it was a street from the images. I first came across the Castle Green reference to the park when i was looking up info for a London suburb. Feel free to change the captions. Oh and your link to the pre-war map is not working. Simply south...... 18:12, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

Wording issues in copyright situations
I saw your note at this page where you said:
I have to say that it rather smarts to be wrongly accused - no, convicted - of 'flagrant abuse of copyright' after seven and a helf years of doing my best to do no such thing. Hey ho
I agree.
I have an item on my to do list to rewrite some of our template messages. While I take copyright issues very seriously, I don't think we need such language in cases where it is likely someone made an honest mistake. However, I don't see the specific language you quoted - can you tell me where it appeared?--SPhilbrick(Talk) 12:51, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
- I was mis-paraphrasing http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:CSD#F9; the actual word was 'blatant' which I accept is less incendiary than 'flagrant'. Actually I don't know how the image was tagged as it was deleted before I had an opportunity to respond! I do appreciate (more now than ever!) what a minefield this whole copyright issue is... RedSquirrel (talk) 14:08, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks, I hope it didn't come across that I was criticizing your word choice - I want to make some changes, but want an inventory of the phrases in use, and didn't recognize the one you used, so wanted to make sure I wasn't missing a source. In fact, your response is helpful, as I had in mind to work on the templates, but of course, the templates provide links so that wording ought to be reviewed as well. Yes, copyright is a minefield. The more I work in it, the more I realize how much I don't know. However, that doesn't excuse the project- we need to be a little more AGF when it comes to inevitable, honest mistakes.--SPhilbrick(Talk) 14:23, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
- No, not at all - I am embarrassed to have so misquoted.RedSquirrel (talk) 15:06, 22 May 2012 (UTC)

Apology
Just one thing - I'm sorry if I've offended you by drawing attention to your newness and making an unwanted edit in your specialist area. You do need to be fairly thick-skinned here, and choose your battles, in order to avoid upsetting yourself as well as other people, over issues that aren't particularly important in the grand scheme of things. I still get cross or upset several times a day and I just want to reassure you that, if ever you need help, I will be only too happy to offer it. Deb (talk) 16:41, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
- No problem at all, though after 13 years of editing I don't really consider myself new!RedSquirrel (talk) 16:50, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, what are all those long gaps about? Were you editing anonymously in between? (I'm asking out of pure curiosity.) Deb (talk) 07:37, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
- I edit Wikipedia when I have time and I think I have something useful to add; when I don't have time or I don't think I have anything useful to add I stop. I have one account, and I have never intentionally edited anonymously.RedSquirrel (talk) 08:50, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
- Sorry, I didn't mean to sound accusatory. There's no rule against editing anonymously. Deb (talk) 09:20, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
