Removing number on 134340 pluto talk page
I can understand your bad thoughts about Pluto having a minor planet number associated with it, but that isn't an excuse to remove the number from someone's post on a talk page. Also, you removed some things which contribute to knowledge of the topic, which also should not be done. Please do not remove other peoples posts on talk page, or edit appropriate posts. Thanks! Keep cool about Pluto
It is important to keep a cool head, especially when responding to comments against you or your edits.
- Please also do not delete content on Wikipedia, particularly in the form of calling Eris a dwarf planet or not. Michaelbusch 03:58, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
Misunderstanding
Our discussion has been removed from that talk page for good reason, but u appear to have misunderstood/misrepresented me, ill clarify:
MOST people are dissapointed but have come to accept the decision (ie. ask people you know from work or somewhere "how many planets are there?", and see what they answer). The MINORITY have taken an active stand against it and actually give more than a passing thought to what pluto is classified as... for various reasons... whether they be personal or problems with what makes the definition. The outright accepting group also fits in there somewhere, but i dont want to start a firefight over where it goes
I never claimed that the outright accepting group was the majority... if that is how you read my post im sorry for the misunderstanding -- Nbound 00:59, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

Yet again (regarding your last comment on
Satellites of EL61
I have reverted your edits to the satellites of EL61 article. The matter of Pluto being a minor planet is simply terminology, and I suggest that it is simpler to not mention it in this article, since there is already a discussion elsewhere. With regards to the second moon, the period was obtained assuming a circular orbit, which is now know to not be the case. According to Mike's website:
- The fainter satellite appears to circle 2003 EL61 once every 34 days, though more observations are required to confirm this orbit.
Those observations have not yet occurred. They are scheduled for January and February. We don't have a good value for the period, and won't until we have additional observations to get the three-body dynamics of the system. This is work by Darin Ragozzine, one of Mike's graduate students. I'm debating with myself as to the need for a separate article for EL61's moons. Michaelbusch 19:58, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

- My apologies. But you have done this before, in various mutations. Michaelbusch 06:03, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
Unnecessary redirects
Please stop creating unnecessary redirects in articles. (Examples include changing links like Pluto to Pluto, Ceres to Ceres, and renaming asteroid links to "X (asteroid)".) These changes serve no useful purpose, and only create extra work for other editors to clean up after you. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave me a note. Thank you. --Ckatzchatspy 06:51, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

Something14, your actions are now bordering on vandalism. You are repeatedly changing the infoboxes on dwarf planet pages, removing the MPC designation because you don't like it. You continue with this action, despite being reverted by Bluap, Shimgray, Michaelbusch, JEBrown87544, and myself. Even worse, you have just made nonsensical changes to the

Editors that don't provide an edit summary tend to look like vandals
I have noticed you commonly don't enter an edit summary as you didn't when you edited New Horizons (see this edit). This causes me problems. When I patrol for vandalism, I use the summary to make a preliminary decision on whether or not the post is a vandal edit or not. If the summary is present (or at least a section header, the part inside the /* */), I commonly decide the edit is legit and move on.
However, if no edit summary is available, I typically resort to loading the diff for the edit. This takes time. For that reason, if your edits are all valid, I ask that you provide edit summaries. For more on how to enter an edit summary, please read Help:Edit summary.
Incidentally, it is not just me that appreciate having edit summaries. When you omit your summary, you may be telling various bots that you are vandalizing pages. For this reason, please consider providing that summary. It is very important. You can enter that summary via the edit summary box on edit pages (as shown below).
