Your GA nomination of Noam Chomsky
Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article
I know that you are interested in left-wing politics. Would you like to review the article for Linda Sarsour, the controversial feminist activist?MagicatthemovieS (talk)MagicatthemovieS
Drive-by GA noms
Hiya! Wanted to leave a note that it's generally frowned upon to nominate articles for GA review when the editor hasn't edited the article or engaged the talk page to see what the page's editors think. I encourage you to do either on the pages you have nominated for review. czar 11:20, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
- I wasn't aware of that; thanks for letting me know. Tejas Subramaniam (talk) 14:24, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
Your GA nomination of Manmohan Singh
Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article
Your GA nomination of Manmohan Singh
The article Manmohan Singh you nominated as a good article has failed ; see Talk:Manmohan Singh for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of the article. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Buidhe -- Buidhe (talk) 11:02, 18 January 2019 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Noam Chomsky
The article Noam Chomsky you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Noam Chomsky for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already been on the main page as an "In the news" or "Did you know" item, you can nominate it to appear in Did you know. Your recent edits
Hello Tejas Subramaniam. I notice in a couple of recent edits you have removed the very common phrase "committed suicide" and replaced it with something not as successful. There have been a number of discussions among editors about this very thing, one of them is here, and consistently the decision has been not to do this. There are, i think, several reasons: One, and perhaps the best, is that the phrase is, as i say, very common, probably the most common way to refer to the act of killing oneself; a second is that the replacement language is almost always not as smooth, nor necessarily as accurate. I also note that in one of your edit summaries you indicated that you were following "journalistic practice"; you should note that we follow our own practice here, not some other, arbitrary, authority's direction. If i can help in any way, please ask. Happy days, LindsayHello 09:58, 14 January 2020 (UTC)
- @LindsayH: Alright, then, I wasn’t aware of Wikipedia standard practice here. Thanks for letting me know! Tejas Subramaniam (talk) 10:07, 14 January 2020 (UTC)
