All safe, boilerplate over. So anyway: thank you for your edits on Asakusa and elsewhere. Please keep it up.
Oh dear, the boilerplate has some nonsense about how you should ask me for help. But please don't, as I'm about to leave Wikipedia to its own devices for the greater part of two weeks. However, if you have any question after that, you're very welcome to ask me. Although you seem to know what you're doing as it is. -- Hoary (talk) 07:14, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Please don't move pages by cut and paste, that loses the edit history of the original article, which is a copyright violation. I'm going to undo your move until it can be moved properly. Corvus cornixtalk 07:46, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Not a problem. Unfortunately, now that both articles have an edit history, only an admin can do a move. You can make a request for a valid history move at

Hey Torsodog, thanks for you kind words. Of course you're welcome, if there's anything more I can do to help with this or any other article, or anything else Wikipedia-related, don't hesitate to give me a shout. All the best, The Rambling Man (talk) 08:24, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Great work on the Posting system article. I saw a couple of the edits you'd made as I was going to bed, and when I woke up, there was a fully sourced article. Fantastic stuff. Mosmof (talk) 12:37, 31 March 2008 (UTC) |
- Thanks so much! Working on the article was my pleasure. It combines two of my passions, baseball and Japan, so I thought it was only fitting that I work on the article. Plus I learned a lot of new things about the Posting system in the process. Torsodog (talk) 19:40, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

Heh heh...sorry, bud, for two things: one, for throwing you off with the new username, and two, for making you feel stupid. I've been there!

I thought I'd give you a heads up that I don't think I'll be working on the Portal until Friday night or Saturday. My coursework requires more attention at the moment. In the mean time, another user left some feedback on the portal on my talk page. Check it out if you'd like. -JadeFox (talk) 03:36, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
Hi, I got your message. Nice job changing the Overview tab to Geography. By the way, the text (from the Japan article) in the Projects tabbed box seems out of context. A brief overview of what WikiProject Japan's objectives and most important activities are would be more appropriate. Article creation, maintenance, AfD rescue, etc. The WikiProject page is very well detailed - lots of material there to work from. The Transhumanist 08:16, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

JapanWiki
Hey Torsodog. I recently began a project called japanwiki (japanwiki.org). I did that before I discovered the Portal:Japan function in Wikipedia. I resoect the work you have done so far and I was wondering if you could ask the community what they think is best. The portal function of Wikipedia or a completely independent site. I built the site using mediawiki (same as wikipedia) and I am hoping to make it a source of knowledge for Japan. I wanted to ask for the help of the community but I see that a lot of the work has already been done here. Do you think the community would be willing to move the content to JapanWiki? What do you think? I would be willing to let anyone who is serious to be an administrator and shape the site his preference. Jubeidono (talk) 19:54, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

The interior pictures are not so good on flickr compared to those at http://www.aia.org/aiarchitect/thisweek05/tw0325/0325pw_bike.htm . You are practically across the street from that one, but I am not sure if you have to pay to see the insides. Can you see the Cycle Center from the same place you shot the Bridge? We have some images, but might do better with better images. E.g., comparing the locker photo we have with the one at AIA is not so good for us.--
- Wow, I had no idea the inside was so extensive. I know I could easily get pictures of the interior racks by simply going through the windows, but anything further I wouldn't know about. I could ask if you think new pictures are essential. I know that I can get much better pictures of the exterior structure for the article though. I'll shoot this when I hit the Exelon Pavilion. --TorsodogTalk 06:10, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

Hey, what guidelines are you using for writing out Japanese addresses in English? I haven't been able to find any consensus on the "proper" way of doing it, so I'm seeing what information you have before I start a discussion on
- I generally follow what is stated in the MOS-JP (which is pretty much what I learned when I was in Japan), though I usually also add the postal code.
