• The article was substantially a copyright violation. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in
  this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here
  ; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient. Note that interminable lists of artists most of whom don't have Wikipedia articles adds nothing to the article and looks spammy. Mention a few headliners at most
  • it was written in a
    promotional
    tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. It's all about who is performing, nothing about funding, attendance or profits (if any).

BTW, I have a great interest in the UAE and have created dozens of UAE-related articles over the years. Some of my more recent articles include

D 88 road and Zabeel Park. I've also started many of these articles and expanded a fair bit of the article on Expatriates in the United Arab Emirates. Sadly, I believe UAE-related topics are still greatly undercovered on here. I try to do my bit every now and then by creating new articles.
