Hi Uniformcharlie886—I wanted to alert you to "signatures" on Talk pages, so I posted the above. (It is boilerplate.) Basically, on Talk pages, you type four "tildes" after your posts. That is method 1. Or, method 2 is that you "click on the signature button" as mentioned above in method 2. Also note—this is not done "when editing articles". Any questions, please let me know.
