Hi. Congrats on writing that article. I'd like to communicate some advice regarding Wikipedia culture related to "See also" sections. First, see

Wikipedia:Layout#See also
. That section says:

The "See also" section provides a list of internal links to related Wikipedia articles. Links already included in the body of the text are generally not repeated in "See also"; however, whether a link belongs in the "See also" section is ultimately a matter of editorial judgment and common sense.

What that means is that it's generally not a good idea to provide "see also" links to items that are already prominently linked in the article and/or are not central to the article topic, such as Harlan County and Alpha Sigma Tau. In most articles, the "see also" section is pretty short and is limited to articles that are likely to be particularly helpful as additional background, but aren't linked in the article text (or are linked in an obscure manner so that the reader might not take sufficient note of them). The Harlan County article doesn't provide much in the way of useful information about the school, and it's clearly linked in the article lead. Alpha Sigma Tau is important in the history of the school, but it is very prominently linked in the article text. Thus, IMO, neither one of them is a helpful link to provide. --Orlady (talk) 01:16, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Save the Internet, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://p2pfoundation.net/Save_The_Internet. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on

Coordinates

Most of the geographic coordinates you added for Memphis area locations were incorrect, pointing to other areas of town. I have corrected the ones that I knew the locations of, removed ones that I don't know but that pointed to obviously incorrect locations (e.g. empty fields), and left alone ones that I wasn't sure about. You probably need to go back and check those that I left to make sure they're correct. You also need to make sure you have the correct coordinates in the future because it's better to not have them at all than to have them point to the wrong locations. Notability of
Alpha Sigma Tau National Foundation, Inc.

guide to writing your first article
.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria

for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Phlegm Rooster (talk) 03:26, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply

Hi! I merged this article back into the main Alpha Sigma Tau article, seemed the most prudent course of action since there was a call for its speedy deletion. --Stormie (talk) 06:10, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the
